I know I have this call on my life but I am stuck with thinking when you have a call on your life do you just wait for God to tell you every step or do you ask other people as well to help you to get to where you know God is eventually going to take you? and if so what do I need to do to become a Pastor? God has already prepared my heart and equipped me with wisdom and love and knowledge so whats is next ? do I just wait and see? What else do I have to do to prepare for this?( oh yes, and I belong to a Petacostal church ) I do know I have to keep studying my bible don't quite know that inside out yet ,any other suggestions?

Well, first, you should be able to spell "Pentecostal" if you want to become a pastor of a Pentecostal congregation. :)

Your first step should be to talk with your current pastor about your Calling. Eventually, he or she may make a decision to suggest your name to someone within the denomination who will probably want to meet with you and for you to join a group of others with the same Calling.

If that goes well, you'll probably be cleared to attend seminary. If you graduate and do well there, you'll become a minister.

Yes, I'm Anglican.
I want to work in church ministry call it vicar, priest, clergy, rector, whatever you would like to. :) I'm not very good with terms, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

Again, the same advice: know what the terms are first! :) In our Anglican Church (I'm one too), our ordained clergy are deacons, priests, and bishops.

You should first announce, when the time is right, that you feel Called to Holy Orders. You'll be meeting with the rector of your parish often, and other parishioners will be asked about you: your character, your life, what you can offer, etc. If the congregation and clergy in your parish feel you should proceed, you'll probably join a group of fellow seekers who feel the same Calling. You'll be meeting with various spiritual advisors, priests, a bishop of your diocese, and probably psychologists and psychiatrists. In group, you will share experiences and ministries. If everything goes well, the bishop will probably accept your Calling as genuine, which will eventually lead to seminary. After graduating seminary and with the final blessing of the bishop, you will be ordained a deacon and remain a deacon for up to a year, after which you will be ordained a priest.

I wish to be a pastor, but There are allot of learning and effort. Know greek and hebrew is a language. And other areas. Being a pastor takes hard work and lots of paitience. I do not want you to be discourage. If you feel led be held accountable to your locale church learn from your pastor and ask for stuff that a pastor does. I know you just need hand on work you can read by the books. I pray you can get hands on to know if you are fit for pastorhood.

The scriptures that come to mind are one like: Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Hunger and thirst for righteousness and you shall be filled. He is rich to all who call on Him. If you hunger for the person of Christ, He will get you to the place He wants you to be. Don't hunger for a calling, hunger for the person of Christ. Like Paul wrote in Phillipians: That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings. Being conformed to His death, if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Paul was not talking about being born again. He was wanting to know the fullness of Christ. This christian walk is not about doing or having, it is about knowing the person of Christ.
This is exactly what I knew in my heart but needed to hear again Good word !! Thank you!
