I've decided I want to be a stay at home mom. The only problem?? I didn't really have a mom. I did, but she was submerged in her job and rarely home.

I never learned to cook or clean. I have enough problems taking care of myself, cleaning and cooking!!

Does anyone have any tips for me?? Any Advice?!?

Cooking and cleaning are not important compared with providing security for your infant! Definitely get your husband to cook and clean if that's not your strength -- and if it's not his strengh either, start befriending some kindly older women!

If I were to recommend any one single book on Parenting, it would be "Becoming Attached" by Robert Karen.

Also, any books by Dr William Sears. I wish I'd read them before we had kids!

Good luck!

I'm a dad, but I do a lot of the cooking. I learned in the Boy Scouts, where there weren't any moms around to cook for us.

Cooking is easy (baking especially); it is very similar to chemistry class. You just mix up various different ingredients together and see what you get.

Get a cookbook and start to make some the recipes. At first they may not turn out just right, but keep working at it, in time you'll be great at it.
