Everyone is given the offer of salvation. Everyone has to decide for themselves. It is a choice and every has to choose if they want life or death, blessing or curse, sickness or health. Deu 30:19 "choose life, so that you and your children may live."You'd think God would at least stop his churches from dying. Anyone would think he enjoyed people getting the wrong idea so he could send them to Hell!
Everyone has a choice. God would encourage us to choose life.to allow famine, war, disease, and natural disasters to kill millions
I think that is dispensational theology. That's a cute story, did you make it up all by yourself?
He may encourage us to choose life, but he chooses death more often than not.Everyone has a choice. God would encourage us to choose life.
But they have that choice and they have to decide for themselves and for their children.
QED what? Your version of christianity requires God to allow the devil access to humanity, for him to deliberately plant geological and cosmological evidence in opposition to the bible, to favour one race over another, to allow famine, war, disease, and natural disasters to kill millions, and occasionally burn the odd city for a bit of a laugh. Have you ever sat back and had a proper critical think about what it is you believe?
Ding, ding, ding... we have a wiener!Well spotted - that's all Biblical interpretation ever is.
Many of these "inventions" come from the necessity to defend ourselves against our antagonists. It's no wonder cop-out concepts like "dispensationalism" need to be invented -

You did see the post where I explained how and why C. I. Scofield codified modern-day dispensation theology, didn't you?
Another good example of an "invention" is the KJVO movement, which arose to combat the influx of the Classical Greek translations.
The doctor is science and science is filled with human error. Thanks for pointing that out for us.
Dispensation is nothing more than a CYA explanation for imminent predictions that did not come to pass. If Jesus had returned as he and Paul professed, Dispensationalism would not have been needed. As it turns out, Christians are left holding the bag, so they must invent doctrine to account for this. It keeps the pews and coffers full.

Yes, I understand that. Trying to pigeonhole Jewish doctrine to fit a contrived Christian understanding coupled with immediate predictions which never came to pass so as maintain some semblance of theological relevance. It covers much more than that.
God walking with mankind, when he doesn't today? Different dispensation.
God throwing a hissy fit at the Nephilim and drowning an entire planet, even though that's kind of a jerk move? Different dispensation.
Miracles left, right and centre then, none today? Different dispensation (and nothing to do with our collective critical abilities getting better over time, no sir...)
Of course, it does make the idea of an unchanging deity with an absolute moral standard rather laughable - but when did consistency ever matter to armchair theologians?
Then I am not the only one who missed it. Could you explain exactly what you learned about god that you didn't know before he showed you the Northern Lights?
Confirmation bias much? When you ask for God to give you some affirmation to let you know you are doing the right thing, you wait and see what might come about or if indeed He will "show" you the way.
I asked for the first time to see something specific. So I learned that He cared enough to grant me what I asked.

It means that you just aren't being receptive enough to God's message. Remember, the fault always lies with you.I asked for signs lots of times. I saw nothing, ever. What does this mean?
Blind assertions and:I like your sleep factor, I wonder,at what point does an individual decide that they can no longer pretend that our intelligently designed world contains no intelligent design? Every where one looks there is intelligent design, yet people have been programned to look at intelligent design and claim that it is not intelligent design for the simple reason that to tell the true could move people toward God,something violently opposed by many in education. That guy,A. Flew, the noted atheists, finally had enough after decades of pretending that intelligent design did not exist,he said that he now believes in a creator because life is so complex that it could not be any other way.
