We should be friendly, kindly helpful folk, with no fancy airs about ourselves, willing to believe the best and love others in truth and deeds.People should know us by our deeds and how well we live our lives, instead of just by our lip service to God. Of course that is difficult to display here at this forum where words are the necessary form of communication. Yes, some people preach that aren't called to it by gift, but there is no substitute for the power of the Holy Spirit in God's Word which is alive and makes alive, not returning to God void until it accomplishes His will. Jesus commands us to preach the Word, and Timothy, to preach it in season and out. Also, if we mistreat others, we have effectively mistreated Jesus.

Isaiah 58 (selected) Declare to my people their rebellion and to the house of Jacob their sins. For day after day they seek me out; the SEEM eager to Know my ways, AS IF they were a nation that does what is right and has not FORSAKEN THE COMMANDS OF ITS GOD. You cannot fast as you do today and expect your voice to be heard on high. Is not THIS the kind of fasting I have chosen: TO LOOSE THE CHAINS OF INJUSTICE AND UNTIE THE CORDS OF THE YOKE, TO SET THE OPPRESSED FREE AND BREAK EVERY YOKE, IS IT NOT TO SHARE YOUR FOOD WITH THE HUNGRY AND TO PROVIDE THE POOR WANDERER WITH SHELTER WHEN YOU SEE THE NAKED, TO CLOTHE HIM, AND NOT TO TURN AWAY FROM YOUR OWN FLESH... If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the HUNGRY and satisfy the NEEDS OF THE OPPRESSED, then you will find your light will rise in the darkness ............
