Gospel truth? What does Gospel truth mean? 'Good news' Truth?

The Gospel is the good news of God come down to earth. The genealogy of Jesus is not part of the good news that is the Gospel, the Gospel is simply that God sent His son to save us. When the prostitue poured perfume over His feet, He said "Your faith has saved you". Did she have a copy of and of the Gospels? No. Faith in Jesus is all we need.

Anyway, Jesus is the Son of God, not of Joseph, no?

The genealogy of Jesus is one of the major proofs that Jesus was who he said he was. Also why do we need Jesus? Genesis tells us why. If you throw out the perfect creation and the fall of man that brought suffering like cancer into the world it doesn't make as much sense. Early Genesis tells us why there is suffering in the world, why marriage is between one man and one woman, why we have clothes and why we have to work hard to make a living. I was saved at 23, after about a year I found out about creation and saw how much things started to make sense. Creation science has fasinated be ever since.

The genealogy of Jesus, whether one of teh major prrofs of Jesus' identity or not (I happen to think that there are much better proofs, such as the resurrection, rather than a Genealogy written several years after his death) does not make any difference as to whether it is part of what is biblically referred to as 'the Gospel'. And it does make just as much sense that we need Jesus without a literal Genesis, do you believe that anyone here is without sin? All have fallen short of the Glory of God, whether this bloke called Adam did it first or not...

Creation, whether literal or not (as I believe that both reveal the important theological truths such as that we all are sinners) is not part of the Gospel. Supportive of the Gospel, certainly, and an explanaton thereof, but it is not par of it in any way. And we are commanded to preach the Gospel, not preach creation. We are commanded to teach each other (christians) about the bible etc, but not non-christians. We can tell them that Jesus came to save us all, and that that is great news. We need to be saved from our own sin, not that of our fathers.

Oh, and its multifactorial genetic instability that causes cancer, not sin. Christians, who are already clean in the eyes of God, still get cancer.

Preach the Gospel of Christ, not of man-made doctrines, whether they are true or not.

Hehe. I was just reading a little something on various creation theroies and I found a rather funny one. Gradual Spontanous Generation. Basicly, "It takes time for something to come out of nothing."
