This isn't the only thread in which his ridiculous views are being spewed.
Oh well, at least he can say he's consistent with the drivel he purports.

Drivel like "Clinton is a necromancer"?

Well he is the commander in chief. he does set significant foreign and domestic policy. and he does appoint justices. therefore I have to look at his policies and purposes and see if they line up with God's purposes.

And yes, I love the constitution. I think it lines up with God's purposes for government. I'll even go so far as to say it is God ordained, as God ordains all governing authorities. In a sense, you could say the constitution is America's emperor along with 'We The People.'

This is how it works;

You determine on your own, which candidate lines up with Gods purpose and you are free to vote for that person.

I have a feeling though, Christians alone, will have widely varying opinions on which qualities they want in a president and they will vote accordingly.

How should Christians Vote?

At the polls, like everybody else. But only once, unlike the people of Chicago.

...spoilsport!
tulc(wonders why people would stop voting just because they become "life challenged") :sorry:

Responsibly.
Don't give your trust to that candidate which you're God given common sense has determined would be the lesser of two evils. Because that is still the Christian giving their trust to one that their God given intellect has determined to be evil. And that makes it that Christians individual responsibility for allowing evil into the White house should that candidate win.

If there is no candidate that meets the criteria of a qualified leader that reflects the spirit of Christ in their persona, abstain from the vote.
Jesus told us to render unto Caesar that which is Caesars and unto God that which is God's. If all the candidates on the ticket are servants of Caesar and are not deemed to carry the light of God, Christ, within, let them sit as Caesar's. Because they are not of God. Don't vote just to say you voted. Because you are then responsible for being irresponsible and following the herd.

Just my thoughts. I won't be voting this November. No one currently in the running, save for the governor of Ohio who stands hardly any chance, is worthy of my trust.

How many times have we heard this repeated from the scriptures?
Acts 5:29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men."

I will never vote just to say I did. Ungodly candidates are empowered by the will of the people, particularly Christian people, at our peril.

I try not to let my beliefs cross over into politics and this is the verse I use for that.

Matthew 22:17-21 "Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius. And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said, “Caesar's.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”"

Jesus wasn't a politician, He told the people that His kingdom was not of this earth, so why try to make it be of this earth? I vote by how I think our country should be as a country, not as a religion.

I would contend that many Christians are using the wrong criteria in choosing their candidate. We're not voting for a pastor or elder or even a Christian. We're electing someone to carry out God's purposes for government laid out in Romans 13 and elsewhere.

Will the candidate you're supporting minister to its citizens by punishing evil doers? Will your candidate be good at this? Or will he be passive and incompetent?

If you study the origins of government you find out, it pre-exists Abraham. It's a gentile institution for all peoples. There should be no faith litmus test at all.

For me, soteriological stances are the last place I'd look in making my choice. Jimmy Carter was a born-again Christian and was a disaster at carrying out God's purposes for government. And I don't know if Reagan was a Christian, but he was excellent at carrying out God's purposes. He ministered to the nation by showing strength.

Here's an article to support my thesis.

How Should Christians Vote? A Question Of Origins?

So far I'm a Trump supporter. He seems to meet every requirement I'm looking for. I could be wrong, but wanted to disclose my leanings.

But I think most Christians are looking at the wrong criteria. When you appoint a doctor, or lawyer, or mechanic do you check his theology? Do you check his marriage record? Or do you look at their competence? If you don't pick the most qualified, you're certainly not glorifying God, nor protecting your family. Same is true in appointing a governing authority. If you just fall into identity politics or pick the guy you think is most decent (like Max Lucado recommends), you're simply ignoring what God has said about the purposes of government. You're making it about your own criteria, rather than God's.

It has to be about policy. Policy expresses the candidate's purposes. Only then can we compare his purposes with God's purposes. Barack Obama is believed my many to be a "decent" man. Lucado has never criticized him. But does he have decent policies?

Just a challenge. Read the article linked above, if possible, before posting.
There are no policies being declared by Trump, he proclaims himself that he makes suggestions which happen to change every day depending upon the audience. I don't see God choosing such a coward to be the authority over the greatest country in the world. I think too that we should start questioning, not someone's theology, but rather someone's relationship with Jesus Christ when choosing who should service us as they will be the most likely to have the heart of a servant.

At the time when Romans was written, the Church was under synagogue authority and met in synagogues (Acts 15:21). In the surrounding chapters, Paul was addressing how they should live as a community of believers, and Romans 13 is no different. Whether this is the type of government that Christians should seek to be under is again another issue, but you should not expect a secular government to act as a religious authority.

Thanks. It is a reference to those living under the heel of Rome in that day. Audience, audience, audience. If the plain sense makes sense, seek no other sense.

A Clinton win and the right to legal abortions is preserved.

Also very cool.

Since Row vs Wade, we have had 30 years of a conservative court and over 20 years of a republican president and nothing happened to abortions.

Do you believe there is "only one" Alpha Omega ministry in the whole wide world?

Is there only one guy named "Bob" or "Dave" in the whole wide world?

My ministry is in the private and self-supporting.

No I don't know James White.
