How should a "Christian" deal with "heretics"?

I disagree with this description, off course. But I'll run with it. It doesn't matter how "incomplete" the knowledge coming from science is or isn't. Because either way, it is the best we can do.

I know of no other method with at least the same trackrecord of getting demonstrably accurate answers to questions about the world.

If you have one, please share. But we both know that you have no better method.

That's because your view is based on a false understanding of what the word "rational" means. You seem to think it's some kind of subjective thing. It isn't.

When something is unknown, then saying you don't know is INFINITLY better then just inventing something instead. Acknowledging ignorance when ignorance reigns is the ONLY rational and honest thing to be said.

Anything else is just meaningless, fallacious appeals to ignorance, arguments from incredulity, not based in evidence, appeal to emotion, failure to understand the null-hypothesis or what-have-you. Whatever it is, it will never be a valid rational conclusion. Because there is none available by definition (yet).
