It seems I became wrapped up in my own little world for quite sometime. Did you know people are called, extremist and radical for standing up for Jesus Christ? That some who claim our Lord's name think that it is a waste to die for Him. Much less live for Him.

If you even share God with someone that is pushing your beliefs. In some schools holding a Bible is a good excuse for you to be in detention.

Even those who claim to be a Christian say "Why would anyone die for God?"

How much longer? Until the words radical become words of "recant" When every "extremist" will be put to death for infringing on others rights.

Lets fight the battle before it becomes a war. Persecution is already rampad in America, even by those we call brother and sister. An infection has already begun to spread and it enters God's doors. If they are never told it is wrong, how will they ever know it is?

Hello, and Amen to all of that. I am with you.

I have seen far too many Christians lately becoming complacent, they are fine serving God, as long as they dont have to get out of their comfort zone. Many go to church for social reasons only, if you were to meet them on the street, in a different enviroment, would you have any clue they were Christians?

Even those who claim to be a Christian say "Why would anyone die for God?"

Well, I have never heard anyone say this... many say they would, but would they really? You dont even have to go as far as death here. What if the Bible were banned? What if you could be arrested for owning one? Or arrested for trying to sneak to church? What if your children or possesions could be taken away legally because you are considered a radical or extremist? How devoted would most Christians be then?

If we cant stand firm on the little things, we will surely fall when it comes to bigger things. Now is the time to choose sides and remember who our Lord and Savior is.

Wow, you said it :) I had heard one person actually say why would anyone die for God who claimed to be a Christian. But talking to her, she was far from being Christ-like.

Many of us want to die for Christ. how many times have we gone into church and sang words like "I would give my life to you." or "Through fire and water i go, i still hold onto you."

But friend, when the real deal comes down, it's completely different. Many of us have no idea how real it can get.

I once thought to myself, "i would be able to endure the torture even a gun pointed to my head and i will happily die for Christ."

But one day, just one person. I mean only ONE person came up and started to slander me. It wasn't even a big slander either and I was already shaken up and i learnt that the real deal is often 1000 times harder than what we think it's like.

Pray therefore that God will give you strength and courage to die for Christ or endure persecution. Many of us including me have no idea what kind of ground we're heading in. Just like what Jesus said to His deciples before he was arrested.

"Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink? Are you able to be baptised with the baptism that I am about to be baptised in?"

To stand before a gun and say yes I do believe in God, I know on my own I couldn't do. But with God anything is possible. He will give us strength in that time. I believe the difference is "willingness". Are we willing to take that stand? Giving your life to the gospel isn't just saying by death, but saying by life. What are we giving our lifes to today?

I wish I could say God, but looking at the time I spend with Him compared to everything else, I would say it is something completely opposite.

We can give our lifes to our work, our friends, families, money, or even Religion. The first step is to make the choice, the next is to live it. This doesn't have to be always reading your Bible. But praying, talking to God. Open and ready if God calls on you to do something.

As with anything, something hard comes to make us stronger, or better. It just matters how we deal with it. I think God allows us to be put down now, to ready us for something worse later.

Don't worry, they can't get rid of us no matter how hard they try. God is on OUR side, not theirs! Mwahahahaha!!!!!

And I have never head a Christian say dying for God is not worth it. I have seen Christians who don't act at all like they love God and behave more like atheists, then have the gall to 'condemn' me to Hell just because I happen to like and listen to Green Day, or laugh in my face and say "Catholics suck", just when you thought they were your friend, and I'll quit ranting now! *whisperwhisper: stupid jerks* <--- (is not in a great mood today).

Ehem.... THEY WON'T GET RID OF US!!!!! AND WITH GOD, LET'S JUST SEE WHO'S LAUGHING IN THE END!!! WE WILL!!!!

....Anti-Christian jerks....

And I'm sorry, God, for getting angry at your creation. :prayer:

That is one battlefront of the war.

The incredible lies the Left has brought to the schools, even here in America is amazing.

The truth of the matter, however, is this is a very old war which is coming to a climax in the not so distant future. What we see on earth is but the tip of the iceberg.

What you see in some high school or college in America is a tip of the iceberg... yet, it is also a forefront battle you should feel privileged to be able to be a part of.

Much of the Free World has largely fallen to the Enemy.

have any of you read Jesus Freaks (I & II) by DC Talk and Voice of the Martyrs?

it is a truly an inspiring book.
as i read these stories, and read articles from VOM, i get really inspired by the stories of brave Jesus Freaks who gave their lives instead of deny the name of Jesus.
(then i developed this obsession of martyrdom and started hoping that wud b how id die hehe)

but i was discussing with a few people.
of course its great that you have heart that fears God more than ppl, persecutions, torture, death, etc.
but when it comes to death - u really gotta think 'is it wat God wants?'; 'is this the best way to glorify God?'

considering that, if some1 had a pistol to yo head and askd 'if ur christian, ill shoot; so are u a christian?'
wat would u say?

'father forgive them for they do not know wat they do'?
'JESUS LOVES U!!'
'no way!' (and devote the rest of your life to preaching the gospel elsewhere)?

I to once had a want to be martyred but God told me many things. He told me that I must first learn to live for Him. He said that "Have the others who have been martyred ran out screaming 'Martyr me?' They live thier lifes the way I want them to, and out of that, I give them their desires.

Lord my God let me die for you,
i cried all hours of one night
think about what we could do,
what a sacrafice you know its true,

when silence breaks with a crack,
and i am lying dead upon the floor,
they'll say this man gave no slack,
glorify God, not once did he backtrack,

can't you vision men on their knees,
seeing my stand i made for You,
that not once did they hear please,
didn't back down as the trigger squeezed,

oh glorious day my God it sounds,
every sinner confessing to you,
every inch is covered on the grounds,
when the gun emptied many rounds,

but that night a different reply,
i heard God speak so clear to me,
what is this saying you want to die,
why to the world would you say bye,

no death is not what is for you,
for you first must learn to live,
if only you could see what i knew,
now look and see what your getting into,

there is a widow who hasn't a friend,
and an orphan who has no food,
but you want your life to end,
but did you ever think of what i intend?

again listen to Me My son,
first learn to live for Me,
then i will let your life be done,
thats when light is spread to everyone.

So true, Chenoa! I'm reminded of the scripture that says, '...all who would live Godly in Christ Jesus, will suffer persecution...' When we stand in HIM, we WILL suffer, as He did.
