Says the guy who wants to do away with term limits for one specific person.

Yes, it's me, the only one. Hopefully I can pass my bill and get it to the Presidents desk.

You not being the only one is the problem. You thinking it is totally ok is the problem. You advocating for it is the problem.

That's just what Rush Limbaugh said.

Anything can be accomplished with sufficient facetiousness.

Let's pretend he could. How would you all react given the current political climent?

Pretending that he could, I would imagine he'd perform pretty well in an election

For one thing, he doesn't come across with a vibe of having utter disdain for "the other side"

(when everyone else from the Democratic side was staring daggers at Trump and walking in the other aisle to avoid shaking his hand, Obama sat next to him, and they appeared to have a cordial conversation and share a few laughs)

And, he's one of the few high-profile figures on the democratic side that's willing to be honest about certain aspects that are hamstringing the party right now.

And it's no coincidence that Obama and Trump actually shared some voters:

In the United States, Obama–Trump voters, sometimes referred to as Trump Democrats or Obama Republicans, are people who voted for Democratic Party nominee Barack Obama in the 2008 and/or 2012 presidential elections, but later voted for Republican Party nominee Donald Trump in 2016, 2020, and/or 2024. Data shows these voters comprised roughly 13% of Trump voters.

That "13%" may not sound like a huge number, but it certainly could've been enough to tip things the other way.
