I guess there are not that many?
The reason I did not state I was in The SA at first was because I am not 100% happy with some of the stands it has taken of biblical issues like communion and baptism.
I am also concerned that there is no movement within the upper echelons of the Army for any change.

Morning brother :) Greetings from Grimsby Corps in the UK

I'm a Salvationist and proud of it:) Yes, there things that I would like to see done differently, but I still love the church that God has called me to serve in. I'll be off out in about an hour to spend the day selling The War Cry in my local town centre. It's an amazing ministry and you make some great contacts.

There are several salvationists on cf, although Cyber Corps is much quieter than it once was. Good to have you here and I hope you will get in here a lot.

Thanks for the welcome...I was hoping to have a place here to discuss things Army so-to-speak. I am still in the SA here in Canada because most of the other churches in this small town have either become liberal or sit on their hands. At lease the Army does something for the community and because of their faith.
We don't have the War cry here any longer it's called the Salvationist. I am not impressed with it either ...when they have topics discussed it is all discuss by officers only and it takes 6 months to have anything put in it.
What could we do to make this a better thread so they will come :prayer:back?:prayer:

Nothing. It's fine. We need to make more people aware of it thats all. Used to be busy in here once.

We have the Salvationists here too but thats aimed more at people in, or involved with, the Army. The War Cry has a wider appeal and is aimed at Salvatioists and non Salvationists alike.

Anyway, was out all day and sold 154 copies of the War Cry and about 40 Kids Alive (used to be The Young Soldier), plus another 20 copies of WC have gone to be 'lost' in doctors and dentists waiting rooms etc.

Back out in about 45 mins to go round the pubs with the papers. Got 72 WC left so hoping they will all go tonight.

Btw, if you want the general Army hang out thread, it called Bill Booths Blood and Fire Drop In.

Ok thanks for the info...by the way we give away the papers you guys sell them? Wow good job but I believe no one would buy one here anymore.

Technically we don't sell them per se.

We have a collection box and many people donate to support the Army. Many of these choose to take a War Cry away with them, many do not, and there is not set 'price' as such. Pound or a penny, it matters not.

Yeah that's the way we use to do it.
