Do you know what his voice sounds like? Do you know how he feels about you? Do you KNOW him? I am starting to think many, many “Christians “ do not know the Lord. I think lots of pastors do not know him. Who actually knows him?

I do know Jesus. I trust I am getting to know Him better day by day, and look forward to that time when I shall know Him perfectly:

“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” (1Jo 3:2 NKJV)

I don't know what His "physical voice" sounds like. I don't believe we can until we reach glory.

He didn't speak to me with his voice - he placed his meaning directly into my mind - perfectly.
I suppose I might project a voice on top of that into english words??

A bit - He allowed me to feel some of what he felt towards me - i dont know if he allowed it all though

The more i think about this the more i realise i dont even know what know means.

Know him fully?? Almost certainly not - I think thats what life is all about - to develop the tools to "see" and "know" god

Dont start to think that. Fight the urge, and win.

I assume you think you do "know" jesus ??? and they do not - so you're right and they're wrong. It sounds boastful and self righteous.

I know that I know Jesus from years of walking with Him. What is unique about Him is that He knows ME like no other, even myself. It is His Spirit that testifies with my spirit that I am His child. Romans 8:16. I have no fear whatsoever that He will say on that great coming Day, "Depart from Me, I never knew you." I know that He does!

All of the valleys He has led me through, the fiery trials, the prunings, the burning away of impurities - all a part of keeping one of His key promises:

Ezekiel 36:26 NIV
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."

And the beauty of witnessing this miracle in my own heart, is that I can see that miracle in my brethren. And I hear the same Spirit who talks to me, and comforts and encourages me - speaking and loving through THEM. What joy!

TRUST JESUS! He keeps ALL of His promises. May God bless you!

I just want to know who knows Jesus. It’s not “I know him and you don’t”. I am just seriously losing any trust in people. I do know Jesus, and have heard his voice. I know him and he knows me. I am not afraid of him saying “depart from me I never knew you”. But Christian fellowship is almost impossible to find. I don’t know why but I am absolutely seeing the worst in people nowadays. I used to pick up hitch hikers in the hopes of talking Jesus. Now I just drive past because that person is probably a serial killer or something. I walk through the grocery store realizing most people around me are probably psychopaths or sociopaths. I have been so hurt by people it just blows my mind how selfish and evil some can be. I see the people that Timothy talks about everywhere now. Why is this happening? Is it just the time we are in? I don’t remember people being this bad growing up or maybe I just didn’t see it.

I’m starting to think about one half of people, all people are evil. Even half the people here. I think most people would screw anyone over for money. People cheat on their partners with no thoughts on how their partner might feel. Corruption rampant in our government and in business. Our science is paid, our FDA is paid to allow them to feed us poison for profit. Then you come on here and people are hating their brothers and sisters in faith, fighting over politics. You can’t have a decent conversation without someone having a problem with something. Everyone has a problem with everything and everyone. Devils pounding the Bible. I have one friend who knows Jesus. One and he is in a different country. I have secular friends and some are coming around to Jesus. I recently had a religious conversation with a good friend and I had no idea he had interest in God so that’s good. I know a lot of people but only consider a few my friends because I know they are good people, Christians or not. This is not a pride thing. This is a general realization that God is not real to a lot of people and it shows.

I just think that if people really knew him they would live their lives like they do you know?

My advice (which you didn't ask for but here it is) - you have to know when someone is toying with you. It's just a game. Don't take it overly seriously.

What'll go a long way -
A strong sense of humour, dont take antagonism seriously - take it cheerfully, dont take yourself overly seriously either.

Oh, and often enough - a bible verse cut/pasting is bait - if you take it - you'll be reeled into some stupid argument about nothing. It can be fun but really - we lower ourselves by being entertained by sillyness.

This isn’t a battle ground it’s a Christian forum.

Watch monty python, read everything antagonistic with that style of humour. Its just a bunch of uni boys making fun of stuff and having a laugh.

some dude told me once that monty python humour is genius.
for years i couldnt understand what he meant.
i kept looking and looking and looking for deeper meaning in the movies - trying to find the genius.
i missed it.
i couldnt understand it.

finally some bloke just said -
"oh yeah, monty python, amazing."
"genius??" i said??
"yeah" he goes
i said "whats genius about it - i dont understand it"
he said "well, it's just a bunch of uni students taking the pss and having a laugh"

all the pieces fell into place for me. I understood monty pyton humour perfectly after that.

the same style i watch monty python, is the style i use on this forum - just try have a laugh a bit ...
