That speaks of what we find the results for in Genesis 1:2.

Jeremiah 4:23-25 indicated that there were a type of humanoid living in the previous world. That creation was utterly destroyed and these "people" existed no more. Cave men types of which we now find fossils. The Hebrew uses a very generic term for "man."

What makes man now so special is the when God created our souls? He created our soul in His image. The previous humanoid was a highly developed creature that did not have a soul designed for eternal life. Evidently, that humanoid was the most intelligent creature of that world, but not the biggest and strongest.

Keep in mind, if God can take a prophet throughout any point in time.. Like He showed Moses the establishment of this current world? God could give Jeremiah a glimpse into prehistoric times! Just like Job saw prehistoric creatures that the cave men could not harm. Scholars are still perplexed about those Job passages. They forget that when God moves a person time ceases to be a prison. God can translate a person's mind into the future, and the far distant past! Job saw dinosaurs that men's weapons could not harm. Are you familiar with those Job passages?

Acts 2:17 "your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;" I do not think we go back or forward in time so much as God gives us a vision or a dream. God is able to do a work in our past to bring about healing for past events if we pray and ask for healing.

The only gap is between original creation and creation week. So that makes me a gap theorist after a fashion. I do not subscribe to the gap theory outlined in the OP.

I think that the world before was peopled by angels. Of late, I have come to doubt the existence of dinosaurs, except for Behemoth (which wasn't a hippo or elephant) - and Triceratops looks genuine. No one has explained how those plates on the back of the Stegosaurus were supported.

Some people say that Behemoth could not have eaten enough to support that bulk, but they forget that it was cold blooded and so would not have needed so much to eat.
The atmosphere was hyperbaric, which would have caused vegetation etc to grow bigger.

I don't believe in Noah's flood - sorry, I just don't - the age before was the flood era, before the creation of men - nothing could have withstood that catastrophe. I suspect that it was Pangaea breaking apart, which caused mega-tsunamis, along with volcanoes.
Dinosaurs, such as the raptor types, do not have form-function - they would not have been balanced and would have toppled forward. I suspect that they have been faked. Ankylosaurs - OK... plesiosaurs and ichthiosaurs - fine.

Hebrews 8:5 "They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: "See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain."

Cahn best selling book talks about Paradigms. Noah's flood was an exact pattern of the flood that took place at the time of Pangaea. Genesis 7:11 "all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened."

I believe that every plant and every animal that we read about in our Bible was preserved by Noah. This can be confirmed with science and history. They call this the Botany of ancient plants in the Middle East. This takes Botany and archaeology working together with the Bible and ancient history. The question today is how did farming spread from the Middle East to Europe. This is the difference between wild plants and cultivated or domesticated plants. This is a little difficult to study because most of the information is in peer reviewed science journals and not so much in books outside of the universities in Jerusalem.

Without Noah we would not have a civilized world today because civilized people need food to eat. The world would have remained hunter gathers. I realize this took place over a 7,000 year period but as a dispensationalist we believe that a day is equal to 1,000 years.
