I used to read multiple number of books, namely textbooks, when I had full classes. Now that I'm free for the summer I can finally relax and read whatever I want! ^_^ Right now I'm trying to read Philip Pullman's The Golden Compass along with Boethius's The Consolation of Philosophy. Usually I like to read one book at a time because I can get confused but sometimes these books are just too good for a wait. As long as I'm not mixing the same genre of books together I think it works out for me.

I have read the most engaging mystery book. I read it years ago and decided to get it out again. Its called The 10 Minute Detective by Christopher Golden.
Short stories with a drawing of the crime scene (made up) and you can try and solve it by looking for clues in the drawings. I caught one of them, but they are challenging and difficult.
I highly recommend.

I have been reading more than one at a time for decades now. I typically read between 3 and 4 at any given moment. I am currently in the middle of one scifi, one fantasy romance, and one Stargate Atlantis novel. And yeah, I can keep up with the plots. don't ask me how but i do. I'm also slowly going through one book about the hebrew temple and the foreshadowing of the parts within the temple itself.
