Aimee and I have spent the last 4 or 5 months looking for a church here in Austin. We both believed that when we found the place that God was leading us to, we would know it. I grew up Episcopal (my father was a priest) but spent most of my teenage years and adult life out of church (after my parents divorced). Aimee's testimony (while we were dating) re-opened my eyes to faith. She answered a lot of my questions and showed me a side to Christianity that I had never really experienced... The personal relationship with our Lord and Savior... I asked Christ into my heart nearly 2 years ago and have been growing in faith ever since.
I had been attending a non-demoniational church here in Austin (Vineyard) and going to church with Aimee in Houston on the weekends when I went down to visit. (We had a long distance relationship until we were married in July and she moved to Austin). Aimee grew up in the Baptist church. Her church in Houston (Metropolitan Baptist) was AWESOME! It is a very contemporary church with a wonderful pastor and community. So I started attending there nearly every weekend...
After we were married, we spent time looking at various churches here in the Austin area... We were led to 1st Baptist Round Rock, mainly because they have evening worship services (my work schedule makes it difficult for me to be off on Sunday mornings now, which all but ruled out Vineyard) and the service was contemporary. The Baptist Church was very much in-line with my personal morals and values, so it has been a pretty good fit.
Everyone at the church was VERY receptive to us... We felt at home immediately. We have been attending there for the last 3 months and decided lastnight over dinner that we were going to become members! I am also going to be baptised, since I want to have a "believers baptism" by full immersion... I was baptised as an infant in the Episcopal Church.
We are both very excited about our decision to become members... Aimee has taught Sunday School classes in the past, so she will most likely pick that up again and start teaching to Jr. High or High School girls. I am going to pray and ask God to lead me to where he would like to me be in the church.
So to answer the original question... 3 months!
And we are currently only attending services and participating in a Bible Study connection group. But that will be changing soon.

We've been at our church for 6 years (me), 7 years (my wife). My old job forced me to work every Sunday, a 12 hour shift, so I just got tapes but didn't attend in the flesh.
I serve as a Sunday School Teacher for the College and career/Young Married group
I teach the odd Wed. night Bible Study
I serve in the office of deacon
I'm an intern pastor. Hopefully to start on the candidate trail soon. Likely in a year or so.

We have been attending Open Door Baptist Church in Lynnwood, WA for 18 years. Have been involved in various ministries over the years; interpreting for the deaf, Sunday School teacher, nursery worker, choir member, bells, ladies singing group. Currently I work in the resource center. My most important "ministry" is seeing to it that my grandkids get to church. Oh wait I forgot one..bus driver.!

I've been attending my nondenom. church now for a little over a year. (I hope you wonderful Baptists and fellow bros and sis in Christ don't mind me posting ). I'm very involved in the singles ministry and I host a small group Bible study every Wednesday.

My wife and I have been attending our church for almost 4 years now. Involvements include Drama Director, Co-leader of praise and worship team, messenger, camera operator, sound board technician, and youth assistant.

I hope this is considered fellowship? I finally got around to joining my Church about three years ago and I joined the parish about a year after that. The classes took about seven months. I am in charge of the pro-life ministry at my parish and that keeps me pretty busy.

I've been attending my church since Jan 04.. I attended one of the adult study groups for a few months prior to that too.
I'm currently a 2nd grade sunday school teacher and I have been hosting a small group meeting at my sisters house on tuesdays.

I have been going to a nondenominational church (theology is Baptist) for 12 years that has been a real blessing to my family and me. I have been involved in ladies bible study, Precept Bible classes, camp nurse for children's camp, hospitality and kitchen service, lots of odd jobs, and currently helping in the reception area after the service and the tape ministry.
After this year, I want to get involved in more outreach. But for now, I am in school.

I'm a proud Canadian who married an American!
I have been going to my church for about 11 years and am VERY involved. I teach Sunday school every week, work at the church library sometimes, and am involved in hospitality and creative communications. I hang out with my friends from church, etc. I love it!

My wife and our 5 month old son Noah attend Central Baptist Church in North Little Rock AR we have been attending for over 5 years.
I teach the college and young adult Sunday School class, and I speak/preach/teach the Thursday night College Young Adult "service" called "The Journey".
My wife is very invovled with the music ministry.
