I have not really looked at or thought about this game until recently, but from the looks of it this game is going to be harsh. The trailers, and screenshots seem to show A high amount of sexual content in it. Its rating has not been given yet so I can not say for sure what will be in the game. Have you guys got any info on this question? Thanks for all your time and God Bless you to overflowing, abundance, and to no end!

yeah a lot of games are pushing the envelope sexually though these days. not that its ok though. i dont know if you guys have been keeping your eye out on whats been in the planning for video games but they are going to be releasing "playboy the mansion" on xbox i think in 2005. they even said that they are going to be pushing the envelope. however when hugh hefner was asked if he considers his magazines as porn he was appalled at the line of questioning. dude has problems if he doesnt see it as that. course he probably just sees it as an art or something.

Im really sad that the video games are getting as bad as they are :sigh: . I wasted $50 on a game that uses 4 letter words and GD a lot, making it very hard to play (Watch out for resident evil online!). If they want the junk in their games, I guess there is not a lot we can do about it. But at least make the content optional! Im tired of seeing some sexual material on everything around me! God Bless you all, Lord have mercy on us gamers...

How lude is going to be? well it depends on probably what Sim lifestyle you want. Take Sims online for instance. When I was playing I basicly didn't encounter any "lude" content, however, there are people out there who will make these uhhh "brothles".

I think in Sims 2 you can be gay...not sure though.

here's an idea. ......... if you don't like the content.

don't play the game. take it back.

don't whine about it. ^___________________^

personally i find the sims over all quite boring.

i would just create houses and then torture the sims for awhile ..... build houses without doors ..... get them in a pool and then get rid of the diving board and ladder >:]

but that's only amusing for so long. ....... i couldn't bare a second one.

Playing devil's advocate here... But is not the theme of Sims to simulate life? Real life features the lewd behavior found in the Sims, one need not spend the money for the game. However, I doubt this title will evolve into what Sims On-line became. It still provides the option to "raise" a family without focussing on the sexual themes. A title that one is conerned about the Sims should look at, is Singles. The object of that game is to "get it on," and hopefully fall in love.

But I agree with monkey_emperor... the Sims is boring. After a few minutes playing, their stupid little antics feed my urge to torture them.

My wife plays the game and will likely get the sequal. She likes the ability to control her "world." Though she hates wargames.

'There are people who play video games, and people who play the sims'

They are going for a higher sexual content, They are getting some competition from other games in that area, and they don't want to be compeatly out done.

I'm just doughnutty.. :(

The sims is over-done, and under-nourished, EA games is known for this. I can't stand seeing lazy developers (or greedy publishers) making great sales by milking the same thing over and over, and really ripping people off.

The video game industry had a rule: send out great games, make money.

Now it has turned into: Make a good idea, now spread it between multiple games and expansion packs, get lots of advertisments and be sure it's 'main stream.'

Watch the sales follow. This is what EA has decided to do, and it kills me a little every time they do it.

I'm by no means judging people who play the sims, but alot of people who play the sims doesn't own more than 4 video games. Casual gamers are ruining everything.

I disagree with this statement to a point. I would not say it is the "casual gamer," that is ruining it. I believe it is the industry itself that is ruining it. The majority of the available games usually consist of the same, regurgitated content, packaged in a shiny new box with a new name. The newest titles yet to come out will offer little new in the way of game play. Sure the graphics will be pretty to look at, but for me to enjoy a game, it has to draw me into it.

Case in point, the FPS title, Far Cry. The game has beautiful scenery with a pretty stable engine. The shadow effects on the weapons are nice and the AI is pretty good. However, the still game fails to draw me into the environment. For that type of environment, I expect to have the feeling of fear or uneasiness while walking through the jungle or area. The feeling of not knowing if there will be something nasty hiding out around the next bend in the path or corner on a long corridor. It is my opinion that the majority of the games have evolved to this and it is very difficult to hold my interest.

It is not difficult to do if the development team puts forward the time to do it. Several titles are known to be "scary" titles that drew the players into the environment of the game. Titles such as the Silent Hill series, Clive Barker's Undying, and the Thief series. To be honest, I have played the greater majority of new titles released within the past year, and none of them kept my interest for more than a week save for Deadly Shadows. Hopefully the highly anticipated titles, Doom 3, Half Life 2, etc will "draw" players into them. However, based on the track record of games released the past year, I will refrain from "holding my breadth."

For all the people going mad over a few naked pixels I just have to say, stop being such babies.

I've never really enjoyed the Sims because I found it dull to play, not because I saw two Sims fumbling between the sheets or a Sim in the shower censored by a blur effect.

If it really bothers you simply don't play, and if that isn't enough write them an angry letter or something for creating the game.

First Buddy, learn how to type clearly, your paragraph's atrocious & the spelling's not any better (I don't care if your 14, the spell checker is right there).

Now onto the paragraph, you say you wouldn't play the game cause it has girls in bikinis (your home life must be sheltered) and the ability to your character gay.

You suggest they instead make a gay and non-gay version, Well aren't you a nice guy (just so you know, Sarcasm.)

You know what, michael m, I think you can take your idea and shove it, If some guy or girl wants their Sim to get together with someone of the same gender, how does that bother us in any conceivable way.
