No it is an observation with a wrong conclusion.Because there are creatures which seem to be linked to humanity,does not mean that they are in the way you think.There is no doubt that the earth is very old,and that life had existed here for a long time too,but I am sure that the humans made in God's image,us,do not have a direct link as you seem to assume. It is a common problem with those who are not inpired by the Holy Spirit to see only a part of the puzzle,the material part.I could tell you more ,but I bet you have not read the bible by a good modern interpreter,which is much more deeply layered than you might think.
I myself had only gleaned the surface while I went off to study other
things,and was brought back by the Spirit not the intellect which by itself is very decieving. I asked to be shown the truth,prayed for it,and although I have other knowledge it is meaningless ,even deadly without God's Light in it.Scientists who deny Creation and God are living on the edge of darkness.Most of us live in the Light,which has been given to us whether we 'believe' or not [or rather ignore it or not],but when it is withdrawn you will realise that all your facts are 'dead'. It is this which is the ultimate 'sin',thinking that God is not in his Creation,in the material ,as well as the spiritual.Go to a place, or look on a face ,where God has been rejected ,and there you see the ultimate nightmare.As the world becomes more and more 'secular' it dies.It always has in the past and is doing so now.Only those who let down the 'blinkers of the heart /mind will continue.
