how is a true christian guarenteed salvation?

Frankly, I think Christians overstate what happens when they get saved. They don't magically transform into new people. They just become eligible for help from the Holy Spirit to avoid sin, if they choose to avail themselves.

Christians are still people, not new beings.

I don't know the bible, so maybe i don't understand some stuff.

But, both a non-christian and a christian are human beings with free will, right?

Yes.

So they both have the possibility to choose to act and think whatever is possible to act or think.

By the grace of God, yes.

So if its true that "once your saved, your saved", doesnt this contradict with free will? Assuming this means that once you're saved you're saved for eternity.

It also contradicts the actual text of Sacred Scripture.

A TRUE christian has free will, and can sin if he wants to.

Yep... and he can certainly choose to do as Adam did, and turn away from God.

And if we have a free will, which is also given by God, isnt there a possibility that a person could reject God regardless if God intervenes?

Of course.

I can't wrap my head around it.And how can a genuine believer falter anyway.

The same way that Adam, who was in the state of initial perfection, did it.
