I don't think that's the right question for two reasons.

First, many fine people have failed at one thing or another - you have to try before you can fail. Second, spending campaign money on clothes for your family isn't exactly a failure; neither is viciously using her office to carry out a personal vendetta (you could even call that one a success).

I think she is setting up to do the ultimate all American, everybody on board underdog thing. She has provoked a level of hate in the left that I have NEVER seen, they hate her, they hate her with a passion that you'd think would be reserved for someone who put the final nail int he coffin of their party . . . like McCain for the Republicans . . . but she just isn't that. The hatred is inexplicable and almost has to be chalked up to terror. She is like an omen, which combined with Obama's spectacular failure, means bad things, really bad things for leftists. The woman can take a media punch, no doubt about it. . . like water off a duck's back. She's even had more personal attack/scrutiny than ole Barry and seems to just shrug it off where Obama needs an army of apologists. For some one who terrifies the left so much though, I'd have liked to see her do something. . . like stick around in the AK governor's office and make trouble for America's enemies.

All that is just preamble, here's the short answer to the OP. She has failed to scare me, but she has also failed to inspire me.

Well, all this proves so far is that people are incapable of following directions. There's no one forcing you to participate.

Sorry, since

is an expression of my personal feelings, there isn't a link to a story to post. Or which part of the "directions" were you feeling weren't being followed? Oh here ya go. . . . linkage Palin stepping down this month - CNN inspiration robbing. . . . :sigh:

I don't think that's true, that the "left" hates her - she's a walking joke.

What does scare us is her supporters.

Maybe not a failure, but a fault. I think she makes too many excuses for anything negative about her. It's always the "lamestream" media or her ridiculous quitting of governor of Alaska.

To me she comes across as uneducated on complex matters and as someone who will just blame everyone else for her problems.

If she can't handle being the Governor of Alaska, a state which has less people than the city of Austin, how can we expect her to to be President?

Palin quits as Governor of Alaska

I think that she stepped down from being Governor because she felt that she couldn't give the job her full attention due to being bombarded with all of the frivolous and baseless lawsuits against her.

And you don't think that's going to be an issue as President, when she can't hide from the "liberal media" and she will be attacked thousands of times harder than she was as governor?

And Presidents aren't bombarded by frivolous crap while in the White House? Just look at all the frivolous lawsuits challenging Obama as a legitimate President. Look at all the crap tossed at George W Bush blaming him for orchestrating 9/11. Dealing with that stuff is part of the job. And if she can't handle it in a state with 700,000 people how is she going to handle it in a country with 300,000,000+?

It wasn't her latest comment about North Korea being our ally nor the fact she betrayed voters by quitting in the middle of a commitment to be governor. What really sent me over the edge is when she said she opposed higher taxes for silicon valley because "...bras are too expensive already."

So basically she couldn't handle the pressures of being a governor so.....she should run for POTUS. Lol!
