Well, notwithstanding the fact that I was reserving my comments for some 'later discussion,' at a time yet to be determined by whenever another poster was able to wipe away the blank he apparently had yet to fill in on the matter... so you don't feel slighted in the meantime, I'll give you what I suspect is the preferred version - a short, one-liner sound bite encapsulating my thoughts in an astute but intellectually succinct explanation that captures at the very least a kernel of cause for my support of her - I'll even thrown in a couple of pictures:

There's more of course, but I don't want to overburden the discussion with too much to digest too quickly... and if this seems too obscure, the message too subtle - that's a good thing... it really needs some time to digest for most.

I think that she stepped down from being Governor because she felt that she couldn't give the job her full attention due to being bombarded with all of the frivolous and baseless lawsuits against her.

Ignorant assumption. Palin stepped down because if she had finished her term as governor of Alaska, she would have been forgotten, just another blip in American politics.

Her choice was simple: Finish the job I was elected to and perhaps continue to be a political nobody or cash in on my popularity and get rich!

And just like a good capitalist, she chose the money, damn the people who elected her as governor. This is why she is looked at as a quitter!

The claim that the left hates Palin because she poses such a threat to the Democrats or, even better, because she is a strong conservative woman is hilarious. Apparently the idea that people actually and really think she is an ill-educated, naive and inexperienced jingoist and that this is the source of the "hatred" is too outlandish to consider.

Failure 1- Get to be vice president. I don think I need a link for this one.
Failure 2. Complete a term as Governor
Failure 3. Troopergate.
Failure 4. Have rational thoughts
Failure 5. Not scaring the children.
Failure 6. Conduct and debate or major interview on national media with any grace or effectiveness
Failure 7. Abstinence Only Education
Failure 8. To achieve any kind of experience that would have qualified her for the White House. Barry had more experience! I have more foreign policy experience than she does. I live 3 miles from Ontario. I can see it from my house. She claimed to have “insight” into Russia due to Alaska’s proximity with the country. What possibly could have come up? Rescuing fishing trawlers full of drunk Russians? She claimed that many other VP candidates in the past haven’t ever met a head of state either. She’s wrong on that. Over the past 30 years every VP candidate has met at least one foreign head of state.
