John is in the New Testament . You can read it online at http://www.biblegateway.com

Just go to the website and type John in the passage lookup space and choose a version of the Bible to read(may I suggest NIV version or King James?) then hit lookup button and read.

That's one way of looking at it. But doing what is right by God out of fear is inherently imperfect and such conversions never last, however long going through the motions continues.
