HOW GOD COMFORTS US​

When a loved one dies, it always comes as a shock. You feel completely overcome by the loss and you realize that you will have to make difficult decisions and changes in the future.


Though you might experience your loss as very painful and almost unbearable, always hold onto God's promise of help and comfort, "As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you " Is 66:13


When you are trying to come to terms with pain after death of a loved one, you are sure to be comforted by the Word of God and the accounts of others with similar experiences.


A wise man once said to a grieving friend, "I have not come to comfort you - God alone can do that. I merely come to tell you how deeply and sincerely I share in your loss."


God uses people who reveal genuine concern for others to channel his comfort to those who are grieving.


Trust God from day to day. His comfort will be a refreshing spring shower in the barren dessert.


If you trust Him when the tree of your life was covered with spring blossoms, you can trust Him when grief has you in icy grip.


Father I plead with you, to grant me your comfort because you alone can give it. Heal the wound in my heart torn by grief, and grant that I shall be able to see the rainbow of hope through my tears.
