  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Not according to the website of the noahide conference. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/126662

well I actually have some familiarity with the issue (its old news in the Jewish community). The conference/organization was primarily organized by and for noachides. There are some rabbinic advisors who are working with the community to help determine matters of halacha and sitting on noachide betai din.

However, Jews don't generally push people towards becoming Noachides. If you come to us and say "I want to worship HaShem but don't feel that conversion is right for me" than we will say in this order:

1. B"H

2. have you heard about the noachides.

So in short here is some things that you will not see with the noachide movement:

1. There will most likely not be any noachides showing up at your parking lots trying to lure you into becoming one of them.

2. your not all of a sudden gunna start seeing noachide door-to-door missionaries

3. Heck, you probably won't ever see so much as a pamphlet on the noachide community unless you go looking for it.

Finally, I must ask, why on earth is it so dangerous that gentiles want to be faithful to the covenant between HaShem and Noach? What is so dangerous about sexual purity, abstaining from lying, abstaining from stealing, abstaining from animal curity, setting up courts of justice, worshiping HaShem etc.?

or running you down with their car in that parking lot.

Seriously there is never going to be any force of Noachidism on gentiles. Never.

And honestly, I should think those who are in "danger" of being challenged by any rise of the Noachidism, or who would be "threatened" (their lifestyle maybe) by the Noachide laws, are really those who are far, faaaaaar outside of those laws, and probably not remotely chr*tian to begin with.

Before we get into the enforcement of the noahide laws, you need to have the noahide laws in place to enforce....Before you can have the noahide laws in place... you need to campaign with Presidents and such for their placement in the laws of the land.

Among the religious leaders was Rabbi Yakov Cohen who represented the worldwide Institute of Noahide Code, an organization dedicated to promote the Noahide Code of Seven Universal Ben Noah Laws. Rabbi Cohen presented the "Road-Map to World Peace", explaining that the Ben Noah Laws will unite all of mankind. http://www.noahide.org/article.asp?Level=456&Parent=88

Think about it for a moment... They are declaring the the foundation of this nation was not on Judeo-Christian values but on Noahide...

The U.S. Congress officially recognized the Noahide Laws in legislation which was passed by both houses. Congress and the President of the United States, George Bush, indicated in Public Law 102-14, 102nd Congress, that the United States of America was founded upon the Seven Universal Laws of Noah, and that these Laws have been the bedrock of society from the dawn of civilization. They also acknowledged that the Seven Laws of Noah are the foundation upon which civilization stands and that recent weakening of these principles threaten the fabric of civilized society, and that justified preoccupation in educating the Citizens of the United States of America and future generations is needed. For this purpose, this Public Law designated March 26, 1991 as Education Day, U.S.A.

I do not believe that any pilgram or any signers of the declaration of independence believe that for one moment... Slowly changing how history is perceived.

Throughout history, Orthodox Judaism has controlled this movement, as if it were a part of Judaism. Since Rabbinic Judaism has determined that Christianity is idolatry because of the Christian deification of Jesus, Christians are not allowed to become Noachides. http://www.auburn.edu/~allenkc/7laws.html

it is no more "dangerous" to do so , than it is to declare that this country was founded on "Judaeo-xian" values to begin with.

you are sooo reading into this what you wish to see, it isn't even amusing, it's just sad.
This is the seven Noahide laws, but you fail to explain what the consequences for violating any of them are: BEHEADING. And you say I am reading too much into this....

In order for the Messiah to come.. Gentiles must accept the Noahide laws. Just as near and dear to us that everyone come to know and love our Messiah as we do, and how we also look forward to His return. So do they. The Rabbis has commented on this..

http://www.noahide.com/rebbe.htm

[W]ith [regard to] the Seven Mitzvos: The time has come to prepare the world for Moshiach. This includes making it a "settled place" through spreading the Seven Mitzvos.

--Purim, 5747, Sichos in English, vol. 25, p. 7.

nfluencing non-Jews to keep their mitzvos, the Seven Noachide Laws... will assist our task of making the world into a dwelling place for G-d, and help bring about the arrival of Moshiach.

--Purim, 5747, Sichos in English, vol. 35, p. 3.
