Have to start wearing maternity clothes? This is my 3rd pregnancy and i haven't been able to wear my regular pants for a few weeks now. I am only eleven weeks now! and i am already getting into the big clothes. The maternity tops look too big for me and my regular tops are either a bit too tight or are not long enough to cover the stupid maternity panel pants(grrrr. ..)

How early did everyone else have to start wearing these lovely clothes??

You'd think by my 5th I'd be bulging out to the wazzooo at 8 weeks, but it's not been the case!

I'm 18 or 19 weeks (one or the other) right now, and I'm just starting to not fit into my regular clothes. Well, my super-skinny clothes were too tight a couple weeks ago, but that wasn't because of my stomach--it was because of my thighs! ^_^ My normally stick-like-thighs always grow a bit, thanks to the glutton I become whenever I'm pregnant! *grin*

I am tall, though, and sometimes my babies like to grow inside my long torso for as long as they can. (Some don't but stick out right away--it's wierd how they are all different!)... This one has preferred the "deep growth" approach, and is just now deciding he/she's got to find some more room to bulge out. I pulled out the ol' maternity clothes bin a couple days ago. I'm not quite ready for it yet, but in a week I don't think I'll be able to fit into anything normal. The bulge has begun, and it's growing at a rapid pace!

I was two months along when I found out. I believe that I started wearing maternity clothes when I was about 4 months. But at 3 I was wearing all of my big baggy dresses, the kinds with no waist. You know, like baby dolls only ankle or calf length... :)

Wow--you were already about 1/4 through when you learned about it?? I was just saying the other dayto my husband that I wish I was one of those women who didn't even know until 2 or 3 months. . .But no. . . I knew one week after conception. . . actually I knew at conception...Just knew it. That means I have to deal with the knowledge on my brain every moment of every day of every month of this pregnancy. ..And having miserable pregnancies is not fun, expecially when you are aware from the very first moment...It is long and tedius. The clothing thing is really bothering me. I only have so many sweaters that I can wear every day. This in between clothing stage is really the pits---Yuck!

By the way how did you not know?? I have always wondered how women can not know that they are pregnant..I don't understand.. I always knew within the first few weeks...

Hm...I started wearing maternity clothes by the time I was 10 weeks. I don't know if I really needed *maternity* clothes at that time, but my regular clothes didn't really have any room for growth, plus my bras were too small, so I went ahead and bought a few maternity clothes. I am still able to wear the maternity pants I bought at that time, so I figure it was a good investment.

I didn't find out for sure that I was pregnant until I was 6 weeks along. I probably would have found out sooner, but I had a really long cycle two months earlier, and so I was trying to wait to take a test so that I didn't get my hopes up.

My biggest problem is that the pants with that horrible panel actually make me nauseous. the elastic wants to sit right across my stomach and the pressure makes me feel ill so i pull the elastic down a bit on my waist and then the rest of the pants want to go down too so I get that saggy bottom look adn discomfort. i willl go this week to find a better pair-the ones I have are old, so I am thinking they have seen their last days. . .Tops are a real problem right now too. The maternity ones are too big and my regular ones are too small, except for a few sweaters that i have. I just want to get over this in-between stage so I can wear clothes comfortbly! I can't remember how early i started wearing them the previous times, but I wish I could.

Young and naive? :) I was 19. We weren't planning a family. I had a light period (3 days instead of 5) for the first month. I skipped the second month but didn't realize it until I was a few days late and woke up two mornings in a row with my head in the toilet. :D

I wish I could have not known until later--then it would mean that I had to endure the mental aspects of the pregnancy a few months less. . .oh well. . that whole nausea nonsense isn't fair either!! (whine whine whine:cry: )

I found out about six weeks along. One night at work I had an extremely strong orange juice need. All night I thought about orange juice. I thought that was a little odd so I went and bought some orange juice and a pregnancy test.

I started wearing maternity clothes about 4 or 5 months. For a while I wore my regular pants with safety pins expanding the waist and a shirt that covered that up.

I haven't fit into my regular pants since I was 8 weeks along, although that could be partly due to the fact that whenever I find out I'm pregnant I start eating like there's no tomorrow. :) Now I'm 11 weeks and I'm definately developing a tummy. Fortunately, my mom lent me a lot of pants that are bigger than my usual size, and for now that's working well. I hate maternity pants! I feel like they're always falling down!

I'm almost nine weeks and today is the first official days of wearing anything maternity. I've been wearing sweats and pajama pants for two weeks and I'm sick of them I've not really gained weight but things seem to just be changing fast. I'm not really IN maternity clothes sizewise, but my regular pants are too tight (shirts still fit) and I just can't walk around looking like frump girl one more day.
