How early did you set up the nursery?

Ok this is a question that has been on my mind latele, and due to my hubby being home from work on Wednesday, because of the snow, we have our nursery all set up.

How early did many of you set your nursery up?

We've started painting, need to finish and then put on the wallpaper border. (Will probably do this weekend.) We also have a dresser that needs to be painted. (Hubby will have to do this since it needs to be primed and I need to stay away from that.) And, we haven't bought the crib (but probably will as soon as we are done painting the room).

Overall I'm fairly happy with our progress, but I think I'll feel a lot better once we get the crib bought and set up.

Our future nursery was our guest bedroom/office/junk room so we are in the process of getting it cleaned out. We worked on it a good bit last weekend. Once it is cleaned out we will order the crib and all. I've picked it out but didn't want to buy it until I have room to set it up. Luckily, we don't need to paint so once it is cleaned out, we are all set!

were doing the same....just getting the spare room cleaned. DH just got decorations for the nursery and wrapped them all and had me open them!! Its noahs ark theme and so so cute!!! Were getting started a little early but were doing this in hopes that everything continues to go wonderfully and we have no complications in this pregnancy.

At our old house we decorated the nursery right when we started trying..we had the whole bear theme happen..with bear border...we even had bear murals that stuck on the wall..it was a pretty nursery..then we sold the place and moved...we put some of the things up here..but by then I had changed my mind from bears to precious momments...so I gave all my bear stuff to my cousin who just had a little girl..and now I have quite a collection of precious momments stuff..including the border..we are saving it til we buy our house around march or so...so I want have long to prepare.

Oooh, I'd love to be able to set up a nursery. I really would. Baby will be in with us in the bassinette, until he/she is big enough to go into a cot, then bubs will be in the same room as my 3 yo. Even if bubs is a girl, it should be alright for a little while for the 2 of them to share.

We are not in the position to get a bigger house, and hubby needs the 3rd bedroom as an office (he runs a business) so at the moment it is what we are going to do. We have thought about getting him to move his stuff to the dining room and setting off a partition, but really, that won't work either.

We're taking our time with our nursery. We have painted the walls and ceiling. This weekend we put up the borders. We are waiting for special sponges to arrive in the mail so we can paint clouds on the ceiling. Next step is finding the right curtains and fixing up the dresser we have (it needs to be cleaned and needs some new knobs). We have yet to find a crib and all the other little bits.

Well, right now, we have a 3 bedroom house so what we are going to do is have little bublet stay in a bassinet in our room, like mamaneenie is doing.

After that, baby will go to a crib in Aryeh's room-- regardless of gender LOL! Just the only place s/he can go LOL

Hopefully by the time we have another child, we will have more room-- otherwise we will really be stuffed in here!!

Anyway, we plan on doing some shopping for baby stuff this week-- its always fun to do that!! We dont have a specific theme in mind, but its still fun to shop for them!!
