l".
Parables are not real events. They did not literally (really) occur.
LOL... you think parables are not showing REAL EVENTS.
That is hilarious. Let's put your theory to the test.
In Matthew 13 Jesus taught several parables about the
Christian "Kingdom of Heaven"... was He teaching about
REAL EVENTS that would occur... or was He telling fairy tales?
Mat 13:24-30
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying,
The Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto a man which sowed
good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and
sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the
blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the
tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said
unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from
whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath
done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go
and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up
the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow
together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say
to the reapers,
Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them
in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Now... let's see WHAT that parable is about.
Is it about REAL EVENTS or is it just a fairy tale?
Jesus says it's about REAL EVENTS.
Why is this "news" to you?
Mat 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into
the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying,
Declare unto
us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said
unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom;
but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed
them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers
are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire;
so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth
his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend,
and them which do iniquity;
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire:
there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous
shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.
Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
If you think this parable is NOT about REAL EVENTS then
clearly you do not have ears that hear. It is talking about
the Great Commission and WHAT HAPPENS at the end,
when the "tares" are thrown into the Lake-of-Fire.
I feel very sorry for you, that you do not think that parables
are teaching about REAL EVENTS.
Hear what JESUS has
to say about that:
Mar 4:11-13
And he said unto them,
Unto you it is given to know the mystery
of the Kingdom of God:
but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest
at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be
forgiven them. And he said unto them,
Know ye not this parable?
and how then will ye know all parables?
For you to say "Parables are not real events. They did not literally (really) occur" only demonstrates that you were NOT MEANT
to understand Biblical Truths. That is NOT ME saying that...
it is what JESUS said (above)
Yes, parables are teaching about REAL EVENTS.
For you to pretend otherwise shows either (1) you do
not want to submit to what the Scriptures say or (2) that
you were NEVER MEANT to understand Biblical Truths.
I know that is hard to hear... but that is what JESUS said.
Your fight is with JESUS (not with me).
