  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm doing a religion assignment at the moment, and for it, I have to prove that God views all sins the same - none are worse than others. Does anyone know of any Bible verses that could help me? (I'm finding a lot that say stuff like "If you sin unintentionally, you should offer a sacrifice . . . but if you sin intentionally, you will be put to death . . . and your death will be your own fault." And that doesn't really help me).

Can anyone help?

Smile and God Bless,
Steffi

sin is very dis taseful in the eyes of GOD,for this same reason he sent his only begotten son in a fallen world to condem sin in the flesh.jesus is our xample of how we can please the father in the flesh in the book of romans it states the carnal mind ( fleshly mind) is eminity to GOD and is not subject to GODS GOOD AND PERFECT WILL FOR OUR LIVES .GOD frowns on sin for sin cause his first son to fail him(adam ).

I have to check with our pastor, but when we started attending our current church - that 1st Sunday, he preached that we need to speak of sin the same as God does. That if we say something isn't sin, and God says it is, we are basically calling him a liar. In that passage is a list of certain things that God calls sin. He doesn't rank them. He just calls them sin. I only remember that homosexuality was one of them. I'll try to remember to ask my pastor.
