How has/does God speak to you?

Der andyknown517. In Matthew 22: 35-40: Jesus tells a Lawyer: " The first and great Commandment is: Love God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. The second is like it: Love thy neighbour as thyself." Jesus also points out to us: " On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." God wants our Love for Himself with all hearts, with all souls, and with all our minds. That is a way God often uses to speak to us. When we are loving and friendly, people will often tell us something which has meaning to us. We listen carefully and keep the conversation going for a while. Often we know that God was also talking to us, either to have learned something, or am reminded of something we wanted to know. God has many ways to talk to us, sometimes when we least expect it. It can happen when we are talking to people, or think about it later, when we are resting or just remembering.
To Love God and love our neighbour, is a good way to find God talking to us,
and remembering many things we should have done, and forgotten.
In Matthew 7: 7-10: we are told to " Ask and ye shall receive," we ask God for Love and Joy, and then thank God and share all Love and Joy with all around us. We keep doing this, and listen very kindly to all we are told, and
then we will often be reminded of something we have forgotten, or not listened to before. God` s Voice is the still, small voice we can hear in our hearts. I say this with love, andyknown. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

So, if you're praying about whether you should go on a missions trip, and three unrelated people come up to you in the same week and mention, in the normal course of conversation without you saying anything about your consideration, the need in that country, that's what? Coincidence?

God mostly speaks to me through sermons but also alot through his word.

God speaks to me in His word, He speaks to me through people and even animals. He speaks to me in nature and earths beauty. He speaks to me with the wind and storms. He speaks to me In the Good and Bad times in my life. He whispers to my heart, I hear his voice. He speaks to me when He is loving me and I am loving others. He speaks to me in prayer by filling my heart full of light. He speaks to me through His angels though not often. He speaks to me with every breath I take and reminds me He is the air I breath. He speaks to me in sickness and health and reminds me of His promise, that I am saved and will live forever. He speaks to me when i enjoy a good meal, or when i have clothes to wear. He speaks to me in the car i drive and things He has given me, and He speaks to me in my Wife and kids.

He speaks to me in every way.

Through scripture, through my Pastor, through other believers. But, also, in one incident in my life, I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit, though non-audible, it was as clear as the person standing next to me speaking. Nothing I heard was extra-biblical, it lasted about 5 seconds, and was full of power and authority that I cannot even express with words. And for a long time, I waited on some mission to come from the Lord, but since years have passed, I have come to believe that what I received was the Gift of Faith. I've always had faith, but that encounter notched up my faith at least 20 dB. The strangest thing is it happened in the middle of a sermon actually at church and it blocked out the Pastor.

Providence You know me, I don't believe in chance, luck, or coincidence.

I thought this thread was more about God speaking directly to you, like through a dream, or something!
