James 1:5: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."
I've been praying for a (big) desire for 7 months. Although I can feel God's presence and peace when I meditate (silently listening for God to speak) I am not hearing whether or not God wants to grant this wish for me or not. A no would bring me peace in mind and I'd be able to stop expecting it to come to pass, but at the same time I don't want to let go of it as it's my heart's desire (and would amplify the Holy spirit fruits in my & family's life if it came to pass) unless my Father clearly says to abandon it.
Surely, if it was a no, I'd hear it by now?
How do you discern between a yes or a no from God? Has silence ever been a yes to one of your prayers? How does a no from God feel to you?
