  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you make a chair from a tree you chopped down yourself, you would know everything about the chair you created. Now imagine creating Everything yourself. What wouldn't you know?
What if you make that chair and the chair in turn makes a house. By your reasoning, the chair would know everything about the house. But how would you get your knowledge about the house?

If you created a chair with the ability to make a house then wouldn't it stand to reason you would have to know everything there was to know about building houses as well? For who can build a chair that is able to do anything it was not designed to do?

How many homes do you think have been built by chairs that were only designed to be sat in? Or rather give an example of one created item that exceeded the sum of it's parts.

What if the chair you make is capable of making choices. It will make an a/b choice tomorrow. How would you get knowledge of what a/b choice the chair will make tomorrow?
