Yes, God disciplines us (His children) in love to help us grow spiritually and mentally matured.
Generally, God discipline us through our fellow-humans -
--> When our Parents are disciplining us (instructing or correcting us), then, it is actually God who is disciplining us through them.
--> When our Elder brothers and/or Younger brothers are disciplining us (instructing or correcting us), then, it is actually God who is disciplining us through them.
--> When our Elder Sisters and/or Younger Sisters are disciplining us (instructing or correcting us), then, it is actually God who is disciplining us through them.
--> When our Near and/or Far Relatives are disciplining us (instructing or correcting us), then, it is actually God who is disciplining us through them.
--> When our Friends are disciplining us (instructing or correcting us), then, it is actually God who is disciplining us through them.
--> When our Bosses and/or Colleagues are disciplining us (instructing or correcting us), then, it is actually God who is disciplining us through them.
--> When our Teachers, Lecturers and Professors are disciplining us (instructing or correcting us), then, it is actually God who is disciplining us through them.
--> When our Shepherds, Pastors, Prophets and Apostles are disciplining us (instructing or correcting us), then, it is actually God who is disciplining us through them.
--> When our Enemies are disciplining us (instructing or correcting us), then, it is actually God who is disciplining us through them.
--> When we go through some hard/adverse circumstances and afflictions/suffering for doing something worng, then, it is actually God who is disciplining us through them.
But, when we are suffering for doing nothing wrong, then, it is not God who is diciplining us at that time. In fact, we are being persecuted by this corrupt world system for being right. But, God may allow such persecutions for various reasons. Maybe to test our faith or maybe to overcome our complacency or maybe to simply prove our Godly nature.
The Bible says, "whoever humbles himself shall be exalted and whoever exalts himself shall be humbled". Generally, God and our fellow-humans in the world go by this prenciple in order to discipline us.
We may not be conscious of the fact that it is actually God who is disciplining us, but, over a period of time we will know that it was indeed God who was disciplining us and we would be grateful to Him for that.
Apart from disciplining us, God also wants us to enjoy the things which He has provided for us in this world so that we would be grateful to Him for that also.
Lord bless you.
