How do I view myself- By looking at a mirror. Similar to how I feel- with my fingers.
I am fond of the phrase " a beggar that can tell other beggars where he found food."
I believe that all of us are neither good nor evil but self centered. Being self centered is not a decision we make but is something innate within us. As thinking human beings, we can at times overcome that innate self centeredness or rationalize reasons why it is a good thing to be self centered.

How do you perceive yourself? For instance do you think you are a bad person? A good person? Something more complicated? Any moral problems you feel that you need to work on?
I feel that I'm a good person who is continually trying to learn and improve.

I think I’m a good person. I’m now retired after a 40+ year career in health care. I know that I’ve helped patients, and even saved some lives. Which is very gratifying. And I know I’ve also made mistakes, and had some bad outcomes. Which I’ve owned up to, and tried to mitigate as much as I could. (As in most endeavors, but especially in medicine—it’s absolutely true that you learn much more from your failures than from your successes.) Also, I’ve always had a good income. Which has allowed me to provide for my family and—at least so far—to have a financially secure retirement. And more importantly, I’m extremely fortunate to have always been in good health.

As regards ethics: I’ve never believed in any supernatural god. The idea of divine reward and punishment, or any kind of eternal afterlife, are purely products of the human imagination. And driven largely by wishful thinking. But I do believe that what goes around, comes around. If I act like a jerk towards other people, the odds are pretty good that sooner or later, I’ll be treated the same way. And since this is the only life I’ll ever have, I want it to be as pleasant and stress-free as possible. It’s just the principle of reciprocity.

And though I’m a godless person, I know with certainty that there’s a higher power that keeps me in line. It’s called my wife.

I do bad things and good things.

I reflect on my thoughts, feelings and deeds a lot (well - sometimes haha). I compare them to what I think God would want of me.
It is tempting to think you're always right or justified and so I try to be honest with God and myself (sometimes).

I try to test my motives and see if I really have God's desires or the other persons best interests at heart.

I try to love others as I love myself. This means putting myself in their shoes. It also means figuring out what "love" is.

This will take an eternity to get good at - and I look forward to working it through with God.

I think God likes me.

I think God would consider me a "christian" but many christians wouldn't haha.
