  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Same with me. I am yearning to get out. But since it appears I will be in university forever, that won't happen anytime soon.

i know that feeling :p

in a way its good though that i can stay at home while going through school, it allows me to save up for when i do move out in the next few years and prepare for that.

lol i'm glad someone does. i'm the only one on the poll that lives alone and owns a house. dang, i'm so ummmmmm...... lucky i guess  I do feel forutunate to own a house this young, but i don't like living alone. I've rented with roommates and I don't think i ever want female roomates again; so alone i will stay until i get married.

things are different here in canada, we have a bunch of mail boxes all stuck together so everyone in the neighbourhood goes to the same place to get their mail. Theres a bunch of boxes every couple streets or so. What colour did you paint it?

Some of the housing developments here have those types of mail kiosks, as well. My neighborhood just happens to have individual mailboxes. Our HOA (homeowners association) states in the bylaws that our mailboxes have to be black. I was just touching up the paint b/c the post and the box were both faded and weathered and I like things to look shiny and new. :sorry:

You should get one of those little boy garden statues of a boy fishing and afix it to the top of the mailbox so it looks like he's fishing for the fish-shaped flag. :p

We're not allowed to have anything except a standard black mailbox...but the rules don't say anything about the flag. I think I've found a loophole!

This is why it's good i don't live in a neighborhood with a homeowner's association. I would be forever trying to push the limits and completely break the rules!!! TAKE THAT NEIGHBORS, I HAVE A PURPLE DOOR!!! AND FLORESENT PINK flamingos in my YARD!!! (not really but i totally would if i had a HOA)

A house down the street from me is painted electric blue. I'm still trying to figure out how they got that color approved by the HOA.

I'm forever looking for ways to push the envelope where the rules are concerned. lol They have a rule that you have to have their approval to remove any landscaping in your front yard that is more than 3ft high. I recently took down a 7 foot oleander - I trimmed it down to 3ft then three weeks later I chopped it down and dug it out. :p
