How do you like your bread toasted?

On this picture, I like toast #9, can tolerate #6, but nothing darker. View attachment 270071

I'm a firm #5. When I eat out I ask for it dry with butter on the side. Otherwise, it sometimes comes soggy. If I order it with eggs, over-easy, I don't even butter but use it to herd my eggs onto the fork. I'm very particular about my toast.

Yes, I like very-lightly toasted bread.
Tea/ coffee/ coco are opposite. I like them very dark.

Whenever I go to restaurants and bakeries, they toast the bread too dark for my taste. Does anyone else feel this way?

I like it dark but not to the extend that it tastes bitter.
