No administration will ever cut the mustard for everybody. Generally when electing a governing official my faith dictates my vote. The republican party currently upholds a good number of values that I stand for. That being said I voted for Bush. Although he is liberal when it comes to swinging the warhammer, and spending he's not to shabby infact its better than John Kerry in there doing his thing. Ultimatly my vote doesnt count. Bush was installed by God to do his bidding, how much should I complain?

I guess I'll just have to do what the bible says and pray for my leaders that they will permit me to lead a quiet life.

I like Bush. He is a Christian, and is known to be on his knees in the oval office. I can't not like a man who spends time in prayer over decisions of a magnitude most of us will never face.

*shrugs* I've said it before and I'll say it again, When Jesus returns it will be for *all* who have called on His name for salvation from their sins. Not just Baptists.

President Bush is a good man caught right in the middle of a lot of things. He is a Methodists, true, and we should pray for him in that regard. And remember that, just because he calls himself a Methodist does not mean he would ever turn his back on Jesus should his Methodist church declare some heretical device. I believe he would cling to his Scripture more strongly than his Methodist roots.

Someone mentioned that GWB said Muslims and Christians worship the same God. And, that is technically a true statement. The muslims quickly claim their heritage from Ishmael, first son of Abraham. Do not blame GWB for being politically correct in a world ready to politically castrate him for the slightest insult to anyone. He has to first survive (politically) before he can properly serve our nation.

Besides, (and this should make any Baptist shudder), just imagine John (the godless wonder) Kerry as President right now......

As I understand it, Bush does not hav methodist roots, his family is Epsicaplian. That is why he claims to be a "born again" Christian.

I support Bush overall. I do not support all of the "neo-con" agenda that is included in his foreign policy (The Bush Doctrine)... However I do believe that he is a Christian... I am glad that he spends time prayer before making decisions... He is a good man doing a difficult job as best he can.

As far as Bush is concerned, he has made some judgement calls that I do not quite agree with; however, as TLE so wonderfully put it, no government official is ever going to 100% satisfy the People. Our stances are aligned on issues such as abortion and same-sex marriages. I would like to see a bit more concentrated effort on education reform and space exploration.

Reminder that we are not to say whether our President is a Christian or not that is between God and President Bush.
Please be careful that you don't call other groups nonChristians that fall under the Christian Forums faiths.

Regarding Bush,
I think he does a much better job holding his values on other issues such as gay marriage and stem cell research, and I like the fact that he prays before making decisions. (Can't you feel the but coming)

But. Even if I was an American, and old enough to vote for him, I wouldn't. I am very vocal teen against his use of wars to accomplish a political agenda for his friends. I do not believe what he did was the best thing.

In the end, however, I guess it's not my place to judge his decisions, but I wish his faith would be more apparent as he waged wars.
