You know --- Bible tracts. What's tract distribution?
You know --- Bible tracts.
Little pamphlets with the Gospel message and/or plan of salvation.
You go through the supermarket, and you hand the cashier a Bible tract and say something like, "Hi, I'd like to give you a little something to read in your spare time. Feel free to visit our church anytime you'd like."
Or you tip your waitress by leaving the money on the table in a tract.
One on one witnessing and open air preaching.
We did it through several different ministries.. We found a need people had filled them, and oh by the way this was brought to you by the church... Food, clothing, child care, community meetings, collage devotionals at the local campus.. We found a need what ever it looked like and fill it, with the love and resources provided by God and his people.

I tell people the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. In fact I will take this opportunity to tell you that you are going to hell because you are a sinner (as are all people), and that if you will repent of your sins and believe in Christ Jesus, he will forgive all of your transgression.
See, starting off the "good news" with me and most people in the world going to hell is probably not a good way to go. Especially since I don't believe in hell or the concept of sin.
I wonder what your church would think of the idea of a skatepark.
See, starting off the "good news" with me and most people in the world going to hell is probably not a good way to go. Especially since I don't believe in hell or the concept of sin.
So what your saying is you will never die and that you have never done anything wrong in your entire life.
Before a doctor can tell a patient about treatment, he has to explain to the patient that the patient is sick and in need of treatment.
Likewise, it doesn't do any good to explain to somebody that Jesus died for them unless you first explain to them why He died for them.
See, starting off the "good news" with me and most people in the world going to hell is probably not a good way to go. Especially since I don't believe in hell or the concept of sin.
How convenient it would be for us to simply turn this into an academic debate about what evangelism technique best exploits human psychology. But I would strongly prefer to treat you as a real person rather than a data point. And whether you choose to believe it or not, I am telling you that you are headed for an eternity of suffering in hell, the likeness of which will be unparalleled. I'll tell you the good news in whatever way you like if it convinces you to hear the words of Scripture and turn to Christ Jesus for salvation. I don't say this out of any antipathy towards you, but because I am warning you that God's wrath will soon be revealed against all sinners. Only faith in Jesus Christ saves men from the wrath of God.
Most people would know they are sick and go for the doctor BECAUSE they are sick. The doctor doesn't tells the patient they are sick the doctor tells the patient what they are sick with and how to treat it. I suppose the analogy still works but this assumes something is wrong with me.
I've seen this kind of evangelism all the time, come to us because you are miserable or you're drinking too much or your on drugs or etc.
On the surface that makes sense, except that you are making MANY assumptions in that explanation of why he died that the who thing is meaningless to me because I don't automatically accept those assumptions.
No what I've saying is that I don't believe in hell or sin. I've never been given a good reason to believe in these poorly defined concepts.
