Look, take it any way you want to. The bottom line is that the New Testament gives us a pattern and instruction on how to evangelize and it requires that we explain the law, the sinners' inability to keep the law, and his state before God FIRST.

If you don't like that, then take it up with Jesus.

I'm not sure if that's true or not, many Christians actions seem to disagree, but if it is true then it's ineffectiveness is hardly a ringing endorsement of the Bible.

Here's the problem though, you give me no reason to believe other then a vague fear of the concept of hell. Would you be so easily convinced if that's all you had to go from?

I did not always believe that the Bible was true. In fact I used to believe in another religion altogether, so I already had a religious worldview. It was because people actually told me that I will go to hell apart from Jesus that I investigated the Scriptures and believed in Christ Jesus. I know that fear of hell will not instill belief in you. By itself it shouldn't, since anyone who does not love Christ wholeheartedly will not be saved (which is not to say that we do not love Christ for saving us from hell). However, the wrath of God is a very real threat, whether you choose to believe it or not. And this is why I strongly encourage you to repent and believe in the Gospel.

How do you or your church go about evangelizing to people?

At the moment we just look for ways to bless people and meet their needs
God doesn't say that all the world will be saved.. He does say that through us all the world will be blessed:)
And people can't understand why we would do that, and not ask for payment.... but in some small way, we can point them to Jesus, who gives the ultimate gift freely and without conditions.

My church tends to do outreach programs....kid's groups on wednesday, which is games with a bible message worked in..parents like the "free babysitting" aspect of it...youth/teen basketball on thursdays....again, a bible message shared during it...we've done days of town-wide window washing..basically we go door to door and ask if we can wash their windows for free...giving out free bottles of water during the summer festival...giving out calenders and an invite to the xmas program in december..things like that...

personally, i've gone on several missions trips...but usually i just let the topic come up on it's own, and explain what I believe...i'm not going to force them; it's their choice to make.

i also have a website and blog that i've started as a form of outreach too. pm me if you want the link!

Otherwise..i just try to act in a way that shows I have something..tho i need to work on that a lot....sometimes it's hard
