And to extend that analogy even further, how would you think someone else might not use that gun to kill someone? A gun can be used as a murder weapon by someone besides it's owner.

Maybe I would ask them what they need it for. If they showed uncertainty in their answer I probably wouldn't sell it to them. Someone wearing gang colors would certainly be refused, as would any ethnic minority. I have sold several guns in the past, but only to people that I knew were hunters.

The truth is that I would only sell a gun to someone that I know is either a hunter, a target shooter, a collector, or a dealer. I wouldn't sell to anyone 'off the street'.

When I did my previous post to be humorous (#174) about whom not to sell guns to I had a third item, but I left it out because it wasn't funny and it was political (and could be interpreted as accusatory). But in light of recent posts here's my amended list.

There are two ways:

1) If they check the "are you planning to kill someone" box on the background check,

2) If they look "angry"

3) If they are non-white.

The only ethnic minority I ever see hunting are the Hmongs, and we are still recalling a mass killing by one of them here in Wisconsin. Whenever I see them in the woods I think of that incident.

That's way north of where I hunt. I did see an Indian in the BRSForest once though. He was eating McDonald's takeout and later tossed all the packaging into the woods along with some mail, which revealed that he didn't live anywhere near the Forest. During that same period I found many half-pint plastic empties of vodka, a favorite of the Indians in the region, scattered along the back roads. "Night hunting" I'm guessing.

Where I grew up, boar hunting was a big sport, largely dominated by Latinos.

If that's your argument to not sell to, as you put it, "ethnic minorities" then it seems you should have the same standard for everyone.

So if a white person commits a gun crime, no more guns for white people.

I wouldn't go so far as to advocate denying any law abiding citizen a gun. However, I wouldn't sell a gun to a minority. It's just a personal preference.
