How do we know that God is good?

My question is whether if we can actually verify that.

Not only can we, but you have discovered the purpose of life!

Because the Bible is sourced from God as well, which makes it useless when I'm after external verification. Come on, it's not really such a difficult concept. How many times do I need to repeat it before you understand?

A little more accurate is that He breathed it into existence.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Or that the scriptures existed before they existed:

The whole point of the first story in the Bible is that we are so miniscule and subject to every little thing that what we perceive as good can in fact be the only thing that can harm us. You are trying to set yourself up as all-knowing. Good luck with that ..."Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." (Proverbs 3:5)

No. The first story of the Bible is to explain our source, our Father, our ancestor, our beginnings. Adam walked with God in the Garden.

Far from your weird idea, we used to commune with God directly. He placed us in a Garden of ease, where we didn't even need clothes. Nice weather I say. But man mucked it up by choosing to deviate from God's guidelines. Once separated from God, all Hell broke loose for all of Creation. That's were we live now.
