My son calls that a chi energy, he studied it in martial arts. You can photograph it with a Kirlian Imaging Devise. It is not the power of suggestion as some suggest, although I am sure that sort of thing goes on also.

Actually most anyone in the health and healing profession could be photographed to have Chi Energy or a healing energy. Although my brother is a doctor and he claims he does not have any energy or natural ability to be able to heal people. But to answer your question it has to do with time. My dad use to say he could perform surgery without anesthesia but it would just take to long. Back when he was building up his practice he would accept invitations as a guest speaker to give a demonstration on hypnosis. He claimed he could hypnotise the whole audience. Most of the people if you asked them they would say that they had been hypnotised.

I am going to give you the bottom line here. God can fix ANYTHING, science can not. Period the end. If people are looking for God then in His time He reveals Himself to them. If they are not looking for God then He will pretty much leave them alone to their own devises. It is not up to me to do your research for you. Only you can discover truth for yourself. I've read quite some about hypnosis and I find it interesting. It is possible to hypnotize audiences but it will most likely not be possible for most of the audience in such a short time. Some will get hypnotized and some will feel the peer-pressure and act along.

The "resistance" to hypnosis is individual and it is not uncommon to take months before successfully hypnotizing someone. Tricks like instant hypnosis is planned ahead of time.

Regarding the Kirlian camera, I know it is older than PS but that leaf looks a tad to sharp.

Edit: Huh, one of the degrees was apparently hypnosis. That's strange...

There are no accredited hypnosis degrees available (yet) anywhere in the United States. If such a degree is available overseas, it is extremely unlikely that it would be considered an accredited degree in America.

Chi energy/healing energy is junk. No one in the medical profession talks about that stuff, like how they don't talk about making a sacrifice to Asclepius before every operation.

Serpents doesn't hypnotize with their eyes, if you refer to the swaying motion often portrayed in movies that comes from the snakes themselves being charmed by moving objects, like flutes etc.

Edit: The closest thing snakes come to hypnotizing prey is luring them by moving a small part, making it look like food. Some theories are that other snakes uses the reflex of the prey to stun them in place before killing them. Note that this is two separate techniques.
