I have some questions that I need to be answered but he isn't really speaking at the moment. How do I hear from God, when will I hear from God, and is there anything I can do to move him to speak faster?

I find it easier to hear from God when I am in JOY. read these scriptures, I find it hard to not be in the joy after reading these promises

Daniel 3: 24-25

Sorry but God is not a Spiritual wiki available for ever Tom, dick or Harry to hastle for answers.
If you want advice, talk to wise people, if you want knowledge talk to clever people.
In the Bible you have all the information you need t become a Christian and to live a life that glorified God.
If you don't understand the Bible or my post re read and follow the second line.

And how does one get that wisdom?
By listening to sermons, reading the Bible and through talking to people who are wise.
So as I wrote, talk to wise people, as I assume you are attending church and reading the Bible.

Sounds like you are looking for a quick cheat. There isn't one. Read the Bible, outloud to yourself (Joshua and the Ethiopian eunuch can't have been the only ones who did such). That will be the way for you to hear God until such time as you build up faith to have an ear to hear God from within your innerman. You are in control of how fast it happens by how diligent you are to practice it. Whatever God says it will be in line with His word so test whatever you hear. Because if you want to hear a voice faster, then the devil will accommodate you.

The Bible = God's Words. So if you want to hear from Him, read it. One easy rule. Compare everything to the scriptures (KJV Bible). If things don't line up. Throw it out as garbage and not something God is saying to you. This includes every thought, opinion, idea, belief, etc. Compare it to scripture. And you'll be safe. That's why it's important to read and know your Bible.
