Congratulations. Good on you for being willing to take the initiative.Well I prayed about it, and went for it! After services when he talked to me and asked how my week had been, I said "Hey do you want to grab a coffee or something in a bit, or sometime later?". He said yes, thank the Lord! We hit it off very well, and will be good friends if nothing else. And I have a date tonight!
He said if I wouldn't have asked him, he never would have asked, because he thought I would've said no. So that could've gone on for an eternity, with the looks and all. Makes for a distracting service!
I now have a new respect for what men have to go through. I will also put myself out there a little more also. I think asking for coffee dates are really the best to start with, men and women seem to feel more comfy with them. As both parties can leave in 30 mins or so if needed. Just my thought though..
The Lord has enabled me to do so much this year. Happy New Year everyone!
Whether you're a guy or gal, it can be hard to take the initiative. When you get turned down, it can be embarrassing and also eats at your self-esteem.
Hope things work out well for both of you. Keep us posted.
