How did you find CF?

Before I got saved I was posting at a porn and gore site. But after I gave my heart and life over to God I still frequented it just to try and proselytize other members there. Well, they finally banned me for doing so. Then I came over to CF. Weird thing is, I think CF was one of the Christian sites that members of this cesspool would forum raid every and then. Go figure.

How did you come across CF and start posting here?

I was searching for an Eastern Orthodox site where I could ask a question, and came across the EO sub-forum here. I signed up without much intention of sticking around. I just wanted to ask one question. That was 11 years and 17,500 posts ago.

I don't quite remember, that was 14 years ago.

I don't remember exactly, but I was searching for theological and philosophical discussion. That I found singles fellowship was an added bonus.

I was separated from my husband, headed toward divorce. I wasn't getting much from the churches in my area and part of what I was getting was not good. I was searching for Christian fellowship to fill a void and seek good discussion about the what I was going through, and a means to express and process it.

It was years ago. I started with a different screen name and had a CF avatar. I stopped posting here for a couple of years. I came back but didn't know my password and it had been a long time, so I just created a new profile.

I've known about it for a while. But I was elsewhere being a bad girl. Now I'm well behaved and decided to visit.

I googled it, was wanting friendship with like-minded Christians. But, I rarely post and when I do post it's mostly in the singles section.

I was rather new to the big wide world of forums back in the day, only 19 at the time. I saw my brother was making friends on a forum related to one of his hobbies, so inspired by that I decided to see if there were christian places as forums. I guess I was a bit lonely back then. I didn't have friends and felt disconnected because my beliefs were a lot different then, so I didn't have anyone to relate to in real life, so I was so excited when I first joined this forum. I did meet and interact with many wonderful people and had so many good times. I kind of miss how everything used to be and all the people who used to post here, although I am thankful that some of my forum friends still stay around.

I was tired of spending my time on a secular website and was wondering if there was a Christian forum to join, so I searched for "Christian Forums". CF was the first result; I looked at it and a few other Christian forums. I liked CF the best, so I joined the next day.

At the time I joined here I had very recently changed my life for the better - in every aspect - but I was having a hard time finding the answers to questions I had about christianity and various other things. I thought a forum dedicated to christian thinking would be a good place to start.

I did end up finding a lot of personal answers because of this forum, and I also had a heck of a time goofin' around with some of the members here in singles'.
