My first I wanted at the local midwife led hospital but then I was two weeks overdue and ended up being induced and then having a c-section.

My second I had to go to the same hospital as the first (which I was glad about). I was 1 week over and gave birth naturally.

Both of them I just had gas and air (until the section with the first).

With my second I had hoped for a more active labour but when I got to the hospital I was told I'd have to have iv lines in just in case another section was needed, so I wasn't able to walk around.

My first pregnancy ended with an emergency c-section at 30 weeks gestation, due to pre-eclampsia. I'd planned to have a natural water-birth, using gas and air if necessary lol!

I can't labour in water this time as I'll be closely monitored because of last time; so I'll aim to have a natural delivery if possible. I'm still happy to try gas and air, but this time I'm open to having an epidural, since I had a spinal last time and it was fine. I'm keen to deliver naturally as I felt i missed out on the whole birthing experience last time.

I had an OB and went to the hospital.
The women in my family have a history of needing c-section, and with this being my first, I wasn't going to mess around with my baby's health because I wanted my own bed!
Sure enough, I ended up needed an emergancy c-section because my daughter's heart-rate was too fast, and had been for a while.
Thank God for that hospital!

My OB was fantastic! She gave me so many options, and was so supportive.

I thought that maybe with my next I'd try a midwife..but I like my OB so much, that I might keep her. I'm planning on having a V-Bac for baby #2! :)

Peace,
-Niffer

Mine was non-induced at a hospital w/ a midwife, no epidural. I labored at home the first 8 hrs of labor (water broke 2 hrs before contractions started), got to the hospital and was about 6 cm dilated, 3 hrs later little man was born. Loved being at home, was able to stay in the tub.
Think I may try a homebirth/waterbirth if we have another.
