how can we be encouraged?

I've been listening to Bill Winston and Creflo Dollar about prosperity. We are in real need right now, I'm confessing that the Lord has a provision with our name on it and trusting Him. Working 2 days a week is not sufficient and we've had to do a few things. How else can our faith be strengthened?? Verses and or experiences would be helpful. I can use some encouragement, thanks:)

One thing you need to do is to sow, but of course you need to sow wisely and in good ground... sometimes what we think is good ground maybe good ground to someone else but not be good ground to us...

Firstly if you don't have seed in the ground you will not have a harvest, you need seed and you need to put it in the ground... Ask God what to sow, hear from heaven... I have proved this many times when I have found myself in dire straits I ask God what to sow, mostly what he tells me to give in those situations is way above and beyond what I would expect and over and beyond what seems rational but every time I do I am blessed supernaturally...

Another thing you need to do is pray about where to sow, what's good ground for one may not be good ground for all... Ask God where do you want me to sow and what do you want me to sow, when God tells us you know that you will be blessed by sowing that amount into that ground...

Finally always make sure to sow your seed and not throw your seed, too often we just throw our offering into the basket without any thoughts of sowing, without any thoughts of reaping, it's just its giving time and we just throw it into the basket, but when we do that we are not having a sowing and reaping attitude, we are not giving in faith and believing God for the increase, we are just throwing it...

These things have worked for me, hope it helps...

Consider what we are experiencing.
For many years my wife and I have experienced a fairly good income. Basically enough to pay all the bills and put away some for retirement. When we wanted something, we just went and got it.
But for the last year or so we noticed a drop off with my publishing business and her transcription business. We still have enough to pay the bills, but some of that "discretionary" spending was severely cut.
Why?
That still small voice has told us that we have to begin to live by faith for our finances. That means we have to go into weight training, so to speak, for the days to come.
Several years ago the Lord told us to begin putting back food and other "Joesph" supplies because very soon food will become sparse and many people who have not prepared for the "dearth" (see the book of Acts where they had a worldwide dearth, and what happened) would be in trouble. There is coming hard times on America, but it is not intended for believers. But just as in every country and in every age, when hard times come upon a nation, Christians are right in there with them.
Anyways, for a year or so we have entered the "paycheck to paycheck" mode of budgetary living. Not bad, but we are really living by faith in this area right now. I can see the ebe and flow of money and bills. When a bill comes, the money to pay it comes either just before or just before the bill arrives. But it comes. Sometimes we receive an influx of cash and we look at each other and say "I wonder what this if for?" Within a day or two bill will come in and aha, we have the money! The day is coming when if you cannot live by faith, you may not live at all.
This may not be what you wanted to hear... but realize the Lord may be pushing you, as He is us, to increase your faith today so that when you need it tomorrow, you will be ready to lift the load so to speak.
So many believers claim that they do not prep because they claim God will save them... which of course He can! But you are going to have to have faith and act like those believers in Jerusalem, who, in the dearth had what was needed stocked up (both in faith and goods) and were prepared for what is coming. In reality many of these cannot do it now, much less when the dearth comes.

"If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan? Jer 12:5

In reality, many of these who say God will save them are in reality trusting in the government, Social Security, Food stamps, their jobs, Wal-Mart, and other worldly institutions. What will they do if all if this vanishes? They will be dependent on people like us, and other Christians who have prepared for the dearth. I would rather be the helper than those standing in line. Sad.

But continue to believe God saint. Work hard both in seeking ways to bring in the goods and, more importantly, increase your faith to live in hard times. Those who are prepared in these "good" times will hardly notice when the hard times come. Be glad the Lord is working to increase your faith! So many are not even listening.

God's Word never fails:
John: 15. 7. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, a:nd it shall be done unto you. 8. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 11. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 12. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Have Faith in God :Hebrews: 11. 3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

You don't have to tell anyone what you give or are praying for them.
Matthew: 6. 3. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4. That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. 33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The world cares about money, but God doesn't .
All he wants is your heart to believe and trust him, it's the people around you that cast doubt in your heart.

They will worry how to pay for your needs, then tell you you shouldn't have desires of things

God in supplying your needs destroys your want for anything,as well he is a rewarder of those who seek him.

Psalm: 37. 3. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

We are taught from a young age to wonder how we are to pay for,our needs and desires.

That's man's way,but God's way is so much better, you see God has never asked us to pay for anything all he asks is for us to believe and trust him.

Stay in the Word ,have faith and grow in the fullness of the promises of God.

You may not see a way but God has already made the way.

There's so many angles to finance. We know that God wants us to work and that He wants to prosper us, and between the two, it's a struggle some times not to get into strife and let fear set in. All of these things interfere with your hearing, and that's the very thing that is most valuable to you.

I know positioning yourself to believe God's promise of meeting your needs in faith is always a good thing. Without faith it's impossible to please God, so that's always on the order of business, to hear God in your spirit and be built up in your spirit man.

When God led His people out of Egypt (both physically and in the heart), He provided for them and they knew no lack. Considering over a million people were there, that's an awesome job God did to provide. Before they entered into their inheritance, they received manna to meet their needs, and it was just because they were His people. They didn't have to qualify. They did have to go get it, but there wasn't a formula.

There's nothing so refreshing than a revelation on grace, particularly when it comes to finance. It inspires great hope and puts some life into your faith confessions. I heartily recommend a visit to Gary Carpenter's website www.garycarpenter.com. (The link's not working here, but copy and paste the URL if you desire.) The second time today to recommend it! Gary would pray in the tongues for hours every day until he heard the Holy Spirit told him to get a pad and a pen. Over a long period of time He told him a lot of incredible valuable stuff about walking in the Spirit (always the first step to really entering into prosperity). But He also gave him a ton of messages on finance. They kept coming!

There's a lot of messages on how to apply your faith for finance, but they often have you use your faith in a way that kind of defies grace. It's a share-cropper way of thinking that qualifies you into being able to receive. You work it and it grows and you receive. Here's where grace enters in... God wants you to know that you already own the field you're working in. By virtue of being a son, you're entitled to your provision.

One of the foundational passages to New Covenant prosperity: "Whatever He says, do it!"

Gary's a firm believer in faith too, so keeping your field well sown with the Word of God is vital to winning the good fight of faith. The strength wherever you are though, is that God provides the manna in this stage by grace. He'll tell you where to get it (if need be, to move you into position to your open door).

I know we often need what we need yesterday, so God does not want you to starve while you're learning. I think sometimes He gets our attention. Then when He has that, and you're listening, the answer comes. You sense the increase inside of you and your hope is restored.

Anyways, folks interested in getting their financial house in order, I very much recommend Gary's website with free downloads and transcriptions of the interpretations from God. Get grace working in your spirit to help combat the fear that severe lack sometimes brings.

your mindset must agree with your mouth. Your mindset projects images. What is your images being produced may i know ? is that fear ? or is that prosperity / faith

Can you imagine GOD blessed you abundantly ?

keep your bill management separately, imagine GOD blessed you, ask Holy spirit to give you a proper image according to GOD's measure on you and you will have your breakthrough ... Amen !

Actually I did get a vision when I took my dog to the park one day. He showed me a giant dresser drawer with every area of life wrapped , much like a sock drawer. That helps me remember He is in control and is always on time, although everything does not come immediately.

Great... keep entertaining the vision, fantasizing and meditating it.

Psalm 1 say blessed are those who are meditating his law day and night. HIS law it's not only NIV book (if you know what i mean :D)

The king's edict is a law isn't it ? Hence what HE has decided to give you, through vision is GOD's law. That's great isn't it ?

Of course the vision applies only to you, because as i assumed, the beneficiary is not for the whole world right ? but only you. Hence the vision , the law, specifically applies only to you to bless you.

Meditate the law, meditate the vision, and be blessed.

--- about timing, not immediate ? ---

Being nervous is a state of mind. Allow me to assume: you are just not used to it :D

I am a IT consultant freelance. First time after project very nervous, money dwindling but no projects

got second projects, then after project no 80% nervous
got third projects, then after project no 50% nervous
got 10th++ projects, then after project tired to be nervous...

-- WOF and prosperity ---

WOF movements and prosperity are like 2 side coin. They are always go together...

if you want to worry: worry if you are giving not enough to GOD's kingdom hahaha lol... (it's just a metaphor... don't do worry... don't decide to worry).

It is not clear that Joel Osteen is Word of Faith, however he is very much Word of Faith friendly, and as for your choice of hearing encouragement from someone, there is none better.

Good choice...

Be Blessed to be a BLESSING.

The best thing to do is get in the Word, man cannot believe for you or even fix you... Only God can. Find verses in the bible to stand on. Repent, forgive others, live according to Gods will, and then have faith in what you've asked for without wavering.

Check out Kenneth Hagin book, What To Do When Faith Seems Weak and Victory Lost.
