How can RCs and Protestants reconcile

He was trying to preach the gospel of the
Kingdom of God... but men were trying to
push their religion down men's throats..

position of authority was threatened by Him.

Yes, but not the distance needed if we want to discuss reconciliation. That's what the title of the thread deals with. Making some progress towards closing the differences on doctrine helps a lot, but consider this: The RCC and the EO are as close on doctrine as any two churches we've mentioned are, but they are still no where near reconciling...and the position of the Papacy is the main deterrent.

Christians should be one as Jesus and the Father are one (John 17:22-23). We should have "one mind, one spirit"(Philippians 1:27) and have "no dissensions, same mind and judgment"(1 Corinthians 1:10)

Will this ever be possible when everyone interprets the bible according to their own understanding?

It's only possible by following the leading of the Holy Spirit instead of our own understanding which are really the doctrines of men, passed down from generation to generation, accumulating more and more as the ages pass.

makes me laugh when a catholic wants to argue about what a scripture means when their own church doesn't interpret them for them and they can't do it on their own.

No. We certainly can't be loving our neighbors as ourselves outside of the theological constructs and constraints of the RCC now can we?

I don't think that is in your interest.

You are further dividing the body of Christ.

Unity of Christians is only possible in the Church led by the keeper of the keys.

All other Churches will only lead to division because they are ruled by human wills.

Individuals disagree about where the Holy Spirit leads, which is why there are thousands of Churches led by bible believing Christians who claim to be led by the Holy Spirit.

Why don't they all agree with eachother?
