How can one stay pure as a celibate Christian or follower of Jesus?

Keeping the eyes pure is to mind what you watch. I remember the old WW2 generation would stay busy enough not to entertain temptation.

Successful abstinence is largely dependent on libido, weaknesses, and the company you keep. You’ll fare better by recognizing the things that ignite your desire. This requires an honest assessment of your stumbles and temptations.

If being in the company of certain people or specific programs and websites lead your mind astray; leave them alone. Ignoring your triggers will only lead to sin.

Prayer is helpful. Some people excel at abstinence and others struggle. If you’re the latter, don’t be hard on yourself.
