• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

If you haven't already, seek professional help. A therapist and nutritionist (T and N) can do so much more for you and with you than you can do by yourself.

Other than that, I don't know if I have any really good advice. Keep fighting, seek support on here and in real life, cling to God, and remember that life without an ED is worth it!!

I'm here if you need to talk. I know that what I had to say in this post probably isn't really what you wanted to hear... but if you need a listening ear, I'm here. I come on multiple times daily, so I'll reply to any PM or visitor message ASAP. :)

I've been suffering with anorexia and is there any tips that anyone can give me to overcome it? I'm getting tired of going through this and I really want to be delivered and be a living Testimony. Thanks!!!

How long have you had it?

Please seek professional help. Most Anorexics don't get well until they get some kind professional help. Maybe you'll have to spend a little time at an eating disorder facility. But please, get help! This will eventually kill you. :sorry::o

Anorexia is often overblown. I know, I had it for years. As a bloke who suffered from it, I'm under even more pressure not to tell anyone. Eventually, I don't know how, I just stopped. My anorexia wasn't image based, but control based. Long story short, I had a dear friend who suffered from image based anorexia. She trusted me, even her family didn't know and I helped her get out of the majority of her anorexia. If you can build a trusting friendship with someone who has come out of it, and you are determined to get out of the habit, talk to them. This level of personal understanding is crucial to developing the feeling of worth. They should be able to help you get your eating habits back to normal.
