Oh, brother. Many of you are obsessed with asteroids, comets, UFO, etc. without actually researching in the Bible for God's definition and interpretation for the mountain, fire, sea, fishes, ships, life, etc.

Gen 40:8
[8] And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.

All interpretations of the prophecies belong to God Himself so we need to find his interpretations and definitions right here in His Bible. Not something for a man to interpret with National Geography, YouTube, Astronomy magazine, etc.

The book of Revelations or The Revelation is both literal and metaphorical or symbolic. As are other books in the bible. It's not one or the other. It can be both. And it can mean literal and symbolic meanings at the same time as well. One limits their spiritual understanding when one narrows it down to "just" literal or "just" symbolic interpretation.

Revelation 8:11: The name of the star is wormwood. The word star in the Greek is aster. The definition of an aster(oid) is a " small celestial bodie(s) revolving around the sun. And an asteroid can also be called a minor planet or planetoid.
So, a star like celestial body or planetoid could impact a watery region of the earth because Revelation 8:11 also says " a third of the waters turned bitter".
My feeling is that star like celestial body is Satan's planet where he was banished and at the third trumpet will be " cast to the earth". How that happens, I'm not sure but Imo, wormwood is Satan's small planet. Satan's arrival on planet earth will certainly make the earth " bitter"

Seriously?! Satan had a "small planet?!" Where did you find that in Scripture? You think it will cast down into the Earth to make it bitter. That is not what my Scripture says:

[11] And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

God said that the star (messenger), called Wormwood, falls UPON the rivers and waters. Not Earth like you claimed. Do you even know what waters represent? And HOW it become bitter? Do you know what the Wormwood is?

No wonder why you are confused by your own claim above that the book of Revelation has a literal and symbolic meaning at the same time!

You need to compare Scripture with Scripture to find God's definition.

1. What does the star represent?
2. What do the rivers represent?
3. What does the water represent?
4. What does the Wormwood signify?
5. How will the Wormwood pollute the water?
6. How will the man die from it? Physical death or Spiritual death?

These are not a literal event as you think! Study with your Scripture some more. Not with National Geography.

Throughout the book of revelation, you notice the word GREAT being use...

Great Earthquake.
Great Star.
Great Mountain.
Great Sword.
Babylon the Great.
Great City.
Great heat.
Great Hail.
Great River.

Set for the new testament was written in greek, we have to go back in time to see what this is saying so the organize greek word for GREAT is, μέγας, μεγάλη, μέγα, which is translated in our language ==> Megas, which is where we get the word, MEGA from, but Megas means depending on the context of the Bible, ( mighty, greatest, large, great, in the widest sense, fierce, wide, terribly, etc, etc )...

Also, when God reveals the 2 trumpet judgment to John, he did not know what he saw but he compares it to what he knew set for a 1-century man cannot explain 21-century words stuff. Some people say this 2 trumpet asteroid is 2000 feet set for the areas John walk through, the highest mountain he saw back in his day was little over 2000 feet, however, this Asteroid is much bigger than that because this judgment is not for John time, it for our time...

So, with that being said on the Greek word meaning Something like a Mega Mountain, let me ask you a question, what the mighty, largest, greatest mountain on earth we know of today? Mt Everest right...

So based on the context of Revelation 8:8-9, the Organize Greek word, and this being a literal event, I strongly feel this Asteroid is gonna be 6 miles high & 6 miles wide like in the picture below.

But I must say, Rather it bigger or smaller then this I can't say for sure but base on the above, I strongly feel it be 6 miles & I will keep on believing it until the day it fulfilled.

This certainly fits the definition of what I wrote about what asteroids are and perhaps this being Satan's/ Lucifer's dwelling place. Then his dwelling place this Lucifer asteroid) which is around the sun, get's hurled out of it's orbit somehow and lands on planet earth

This Lucifer asteroid is 34 kilometers so that would be about 21 + miles. Maybe NASA knows it's coming and blasts it into more manageable pieces so that it' s not as large should it hit planet earth in some watery region........ kinda ala the Armageddon film...who knows?
