Hovind on Ali G

I saw a group interview on Da Ali G show that Kent Hovind was a part of. It shocked me -- I did not think he was that prominent of a figure. I mean, once you're on Ali G you're golden.

I know this is an ancient post, but.....

Ali G is a an upper-middle class Jewish man pretending to be a working class asian (Asian in the UK usually means someone whose ancestors came from the Indian subcontinent) kid pretending to be a black rapper! He claims to be a member of 'Da Westside Massive' in Staines (Staines is a small, affluent but very boring town near London, infact it's actually the same part of the world I lived in).

I'm quite suprised that people in the US 'get' him when I first saw him I didn't think asnyone outside of the Home Counties would be able top understand his jokes (esepcially when he tells jokes that so obscure they reference the John Nike leisure centre in Bracknell, which was one of my favourite places to go when I was younger).

I don't think Seppos do get Ali G, OR Borat, or Sacha Baron-Cohen generally. It was the same with Dame Edna Everidge.

I don't think Seppos do get Ali G, OR Borat, or Sacha Baron-Cohen generally. It was the same with Dame Edna Everidge.

He got a lot of mileage out of that Borat character. All the talk shows had him on to promote that movie. He played it for all it was worth but he must have wore it out if he is doing a new character now. Maybe they should get Borat, Hovind, Howard Stern and Donald Trump together. Perhaps we can throw Napoleon Dynamite in for good measure. They are all a genius when it comes to acting stupid. Only Borat, Hovind, Stern & Trump have the distinction of one name recognition.
