  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The teen faith healing minister had a virus, which he apparently passed on to the woman with cancer..the theory on the show was when you contract a virus it first attacks things like tumors, temporarily shrinking them, and then moving on to infect the rest of the body, so after temporarily shrinking; the cancer still in the system would continue to invade and the tumors continue to grow so no miracle cure.

sad, oh well what can you expect from tv, was there any good message in the end or just a big slam on healing.

It didn't bother me, although I didn't find it one of the better storylines on the show it's House, there's no way they would leave something with no "scientific" answer. Healing without an answer wouldn't fit the nature of the show, it's always a series of ? about how something was caused through research, and interrogation (to fit in with House's idea that everyone lies) followed by the fact that once the docs get to the "truth" (often when some secret is revealed, as in this case the kid had a sexually transmitted disease)

The fact lies and half truths and self deception never benefits you certainly is proven every week on this show, but I wouldn't expect any spiritual connection.

I liked the episode. I don't think it was made purely to reject healing beliefs - it was just a medical thing.

That's my take also, with the storylines they have it seems to me the writers would look for ANY possible medical "mystery" for possible stories.
